This one of the main reasons a guitar teacher charges by the hour . My meaning of that is because it takes time to go over a song to get it right and she takes her time and teaches really well going over the specifics of your progressions as you go . Very good teaching of Melissa and by the way , she's showing the correct way to play mellisa . Good job.

She’s by far the best teacher I’ve seen on KZbin! Most people run through the song up to speed after only going through it once. I also love her favorite sayings,” let the pick do the work” and “ what you can’t play slow you can’t play fast!!”

Ms. Angela's facial expressions are really selling the lessons!! A lot of these lessons online lose me when the "teacher" comes across as "I'm doing you a favor" doing this. Ms. Angela comes across as warm, real, and having fun!! Thanks for doing this.

You are so right. So many You Tube "teachers" don't teach at all. They talk, and LOVE to hear their own voice. I can play fairly well and have learned some really neat tricks from Angela, she's an awesome teacher for all skill levels. Any beginners would be doing themselves a favor by learning from Angela, and more experienced players can pick up new styles. There is more than one way to do a specific skill or note or chord. Don't get stuck thinking there is only one way to do anything!!

I love you're instruction videos very much!! If anything transforms me from a novice to intermediate it will be you.You are an angel.I 've been wanting to learn "Melissa" since I heard it a soldier serving the U.S. In Germany in 1974. Now I can. I just started learning to play guitar last year and already have 6 acoustics and 5:electrics. I'm tired and painfully disabled. Guitar has given me purpose. I want to wish you and your yout ube watchers a Merry Chistmas as well.

Hey, great job at breaking down each part. I started out with a Les Paul Custom and I realize now that all I ever cared about was playing lead guitar and thus wasn’t really progressing as a player, I had bought several years ago a Martin X series with the fishman pickup and a goose neck mic inside the guitar. Unfortunately I didn’t have an amp at the time and I also didn’t really play it much. Recently I was happily reunited on accident with my lost love from my early 20’s , I never had realized it but she was the only person who I had actually ever really loved , anyways she unlike most girlfriends I had had wasn’t jealous of my guitar and in fact she encouraged me to play for her and I love that so much about her. She then bought me my next acoustic guitar a Gibson J-45 and I love it. I suddenly started actually because of the acoustic guitar learning songs again and then I ended up buying my first Nylon acoustic guitar a Martin 000-C 12-16E with the fishman pickup and preamp and I am amazed at how great it sounds and how I loved the Nylon acoustic and it also has made me want to learn more and more acoustic songs that I love. Of course the great encouragement that I received from my soulmate makes me want to keep growing with my playing and people like you are a blessing in this regard as I work 40-60 hours a week and don’t have a lot of time and this is a great thing you do to help people like I. Thank you from LaGrange , Georgia and my favorite love song which use to mean nothing to me has become “ Crystal “ by Stevie Nick’s… would love it if you would teach this one for me please… I just got through learning Landslide by her and learning that “Travis Picking “ was a lot of work for me that I am so glad that I put in the effort as my soulmate loves this song and Crystal both by Stevie Nick’s …. So if you would teach Crystal I would love that . Thanks and keep on doing what you are doing Angie… 👍

I always liked this song from The Allman Bros, Then it clicked I had heard it before with different words!!! one of my favorite singer songwriters was the late great Sandy Denny , her great song who knows where the time goes and finally looked up the how to play it.....its the same chords and rhythm for the verses as Melissa ,,Sandy first recorded it in 1967 Angela have a look and listen to both songs what do you think?

GREETINGS from h’wood, CA. I used to watch the Allman Bros. Play live in Piedmont Park (ATL., GA) on Sunday nights back in the late 60s. I remember they would open in the dark (no lights) w/ the riff from One Way Out, then lights up and all hell would break loose !!! FAVORITE LOVE SONG: John Coltrane/Johnny Hartman collaboration on “My One and Only Love”.

Angela I'm so grateful to have found your channel. The 10 minute lessons (limit of our attention span? Some sort of selfish algorithm for KZbin profit???? Etc.????) were becoming a bit numbing. By preference, it is really nice to learn all the nuances and feel that there is participation happening, rather than just getting the cliff notes. Don't get me wrong. It's all good, but your approach is really pleasant and it's pretty incredible that these are most of my favorite songs and artists. After spending an hour with you and your method, I've got a good grasp, in detail, of these tried and true classics. You're very kind and at the very least, deserve some words of sincere gratitude. Thank you ☺️😔😐😑😊😗😙☺️😶😐😑😔☺️😊
