Hello Angela…I just recently purchased the color 809 Lavender Glow. I ordered it off of Guerlain’s website. The color is beautiful and the packaging is stunning. Even though there are so many lip balms out on the market nowadays, this is my very first one I have purchased. I love Guerlain and the color was so unique, I decided to buy it. If I knew for sure that the 2nd swatch on your arm that changes with your body chemistry would turn out that light lavender shade that it turns out on you, I would definitely buy it. I just don’t know bc where I live, there are no Guerlain stores. Have u heard any feedback from other people that have bought that lip balm? Has anyone told u what color that it showed up on them? Pink looks horrible on me and so I would b devastated if I spent the money and the color turned pink.

I just rewatched Lexi Jong’s review of these Guerlain lip balms and 258 Rose Glow turned a pale lavender on her skin as well. It looked exactly like the swatch on your arm. I’m watching these videos on my cell phone, so I’m hoping that the colors r showing up correctly on my screen.

I really enjoy this formula from Guerlain. I agree that it has more grip than the Kiss Kiss formula and feels more emollient which I prefer. I have lavender, poppy, and peach and love them all. The peach is more subtle/softly pigmented but very pretty. I definitely think it would look lovely on you. I love the fuchsia shade on you as well, so beautiful. I may need to add it to my wishlist. All your reviews and swatches are always so helpful. Thank you so much!

I absolutely love this lip balm! I have it in a shade you don’t seem to show, though. 309 Honey Glow I am also considering getting peach and lavender because the formula is so lovely and those colors are more unique to my collection. Your swatches are super helpful! 💟

Yes, I found the Chanel lip balms drying, much to my disappointment. The colors are so very pretty. To counteract the dryness, I prepped my lips with Aquaphor, which I applied with my skin products, then applied the Chanel last. That helps, but is not a cure. I’ve tried the Guerlain Kiss Kiss Shine Bloom in 229, Petal Blush, and it’s lovely. I’ve ordered the Kiss Kiss Bee Glow and look forward to trying it. So far, I think that the Sisley and Chantecaille Lip Chic are my favorites in this particular category. Very sad about the Chanel. Thanks for an enjoyable video.

Great detailed review! I just purchased the Chanel Coco Baume and it does feel a bit drying and I had to apply it every hour, so now I am considering getting the Guerlain.

Hi, the truth is that when I tried the Chanel lip baume it had an amazing colour ( the particular I chose) but in the end it felt dry. For ones this is not an issue but for others it may cause dryness to the lips. But in averall, it is a very good product. I decided to give it away to my sister who found it fantastic. The Guerlain lip balms look very hydrating.

So many brands to chose from this year. Which do you recommend for best color opacity ? I need hydration too. I love the Chantecaille hydration but they are not pigmented enough. What about Sisley?

Hello Linda :) I would suggest the new Sisley Phyto Rouge Shine lipsticks or the new Dior Addict refillable shine lipsticks. Just keep in mind that Sisley number 10 is very sheer - almost like a lip balm. I have a review both of Dior and of Sisley. The darker colors of Sisley have intense color. I love both Sisley and Dior. For intense color and hydration I think these are the best. Dior's lipsticks feel more oily/emollient. Sisley have more grip on the lips and are not as oily as Dior. Some people say that Dior's lipsticks are too emollient. I personally like both. Next week I am planning to film a swatch party with all lipsticks and lip balms that have been released. I'm going to do like a round up so that everyone can see how the look swatches side by side in natural light and on my lips. xoxo

Is the guerlain lip balm as sheer as the Chanel rouge coco balm? Bcthe chanel lio balm that i have in chilling pink is so sheer it doesn't give any color at all
