Really it's that his was so left field after a toss up for Tori (it was Melissa's weakness even if it wasn't Tori's strength), a strength of Kasey and strength for Jordan (although how strong he had actually been is now being debated). Darrell's was just super unpredictable and almost just a game of chance given who was competing.

I can’t tell you how bad I wanted Darrell to beat CT in Invasion of the Champs. Imagine him defeating Bananas, Zach and CT back to back. I think it was a huge missed opportunity that they didn’t do a hall brawl for that elimination.

The thing that upset me the most about Darell was I feel like he took to big of a Gap in between his last challenge Vs when he came back at this point he didn’t have the relationships he once had back in the day. Which made these new players not Respect him the way I feel like they should’ve. Because I feel like some of those finals he would’ve killed in. But he’s still my all time favorite

I know this is a hot take but I do think Darrell is a bit overrated. All 4 of his wins were in the early days of the Challenge and they were all group and partner wins. After Fresh Meat he didn’t do well until All-Stars, which while is definitely tougher than the early seasons of the challenge isn’t the same as the flagship season. He also doesn’t have enough elimination wins to say he’s great in that realm. Even if we go back to his 4 wins, it’s not like he was the MJ of the team where he dominated and was the reason they won. He was more the Scottie. I say all this to say I think Darrel is great and definitely top 10 but not in the GOAT convo. The allure and legend of 4 wins in a row is what ppl gravitate towards. Wes said it on Challenge Mania once that Darrell and Derrick play very similar games which I would agree. If we look at it from that perspective I would say Derrick ranks higher because he actually is an elimination beast. Let’s debate.

I’ve been saying this for years. You say he’s Scottie I think he’s more like Robert Horry. He was the worst male on at least two of his wins(Gauntlet, Inferno 2) and after Fresh Meat he really didn’t do anything. He doesn’t really have a political or social game. He is no better or no worst in the mental aspect of the game. His strength is….floating until the end. I don’t think he’s top 10 at all and I don’t think he’s a top 10 male either.

I understand what you’re saying but let’s take CT for example. All of CT’s flagship wins in the show he never saw an elimination except for double agents when he had to. Even looking at The Challenge wiki, Darrell has a better elimination win percentage than CT and CT only has one more elim than Darrell. I know the finals CT had to do were much harder, but we wouldn’t say CT isn’t a GOAT. I think there is something good about floating and dodging eliminations because it says something about your social game and how intimidating you are to ppl’s game. CT has said it himself that his strategy recently has been to fly under the radar and it’s got him more wins in the span of four seasons than the rest of his Challenge career.
