i would put another electrical conection right next the motor that way you can unplug it and then play untangle games without the electrical cord to deal with

Awesome. I’m thinking of converting my 80’s to the fish winch. What pound test leader do you use? I actually run 8 80 wides off the coast of MD. I’m getting old and thinking of going electric. Any advice for me? You seem to have mastered the electrics.

I use 130 to 150 pounds flourocarbon leader that winds on the reel. Small barrel swivel. electric is the way to go.

Howzit. It's just a hobby. Sometimes we get lucky. Go to Kewalo Basin and Haleiwa and ask the charter captains if they need crew. Offer to do whatever they need then if you get a shot, show up early every day.
