While in the navy i spent 18 months in capas tarlac and spent most of my time off in angeles city, long before thesr pictures were taken 1971 & 72 the best time of my life

In 1985 there were 300 bars in Angeles City. Most left over from the Vietnam War days. It would take a month (at ten bars per night) to see them all....and then start all over again.

What year did DMZ sell? How many years was it there? What was the owners name?

I first went to DMZ Bar in 2000. It had been there for many years and the owner was Tick, ex-army. He always had a cigar in his hand and stories to tell. Tick eventually sold up and returned to the U.S.A and I was told by many that knew him that he died from cancer.

bars in the philippines are older than bangkok or pattaya but catholic church and civic leaders are restrictive
