I was just going to comment this! I is so nice to see especially with dark smoky and colourful looks. This works better with more formula’s and allows you to stay the colour you intended to use, or not. It also works better for more mature eyes because windshield wiping a dark colourful shadow can skip very badly. Packing on the shadow and blending the edges is less likely to create patchy looks, in my experience 38🙋🏻‍♀️

I've been doing dark to light for a while and I usually pack and blend the deepest shade. But I am just starting to experiment with packing and blending the whole look. Part of what put me off is I feel packing shadows can make any palette seem more pigmented (though how long it takes to build up can still tell the real story.)

Angie, I think that you mean that true neons glow under UV/Blacklight! You just notice it more in the dark 😁💓

I was so excited for this palette, but I think I’m going to pass. Here’s how I do color: 1) put a lot of it on 2) decide it’s not me 3) blend it all to a perfect shade of grunge🤣😂🤣 But I love the process! You always make it work.

I think I’m ready for a more neutral palette. My favorites are still the National Parks and Haunted Europe. I’ve skipped the last two or three (including this one). But you rock on! The green look truly was spectacular, just not for me.

I live in Costa Rica and have been to monteverde. I don't really get the color story for monte verde alone, as it is a cloudy, misty, smoky place. If anything, monteverde is what could be considered grunge as far as costa rican landscapes go. Plus, may of the thingsin this palette, like the orchids, aren't easy to find there. Now, if you showed me this colors and said "somewhere in costa rica, I'd have guessed Manuel Antionio national park. It is a beachside humid forest, very pretty and vivid, with both nature, trees, sloths and sea. Those are colors I could pick out of the photos of my last trip to manuel antonio. In monteverde, I'd pick smoky greens, browns, brick red and teal (most of the hanging bridges are either red or teal) and maybe grey and blue. I have no idea where those bright greens and pinks came from. I like the colors, and I'm pretty pleased nomad chose my country for a palette, but I'm baffled by the choice of monteverde for those colors.

I love Nomad Cosmetics! I love the looks you created. I don’t feel like I need to rush to buy this one. I’ll probably wait for a sale and buy a few that I have my eye on. I wish the palette was laid out differently because you presenting it as half greens, half neon rainbow made it look so much more appealing! Otherwise the color story seems all over the place (surprising because Nomad typically has such structured layouts). As always, the looks you created were gorgeous.

It is layed out to represent the pops of color the animals are in the rainforest in the destination, so for the themes sake, it kinda makes sense :)

I love Nomad, and I'm very interested in this palette. However, my budget is tight, and I'm really holding out to get the Cosmic Brushes Serenity Palette, or maybe the Glamlite Mikayla Paht 2. My only experience with Glamlite hasn't been great. I got the Cake Palette, and was very disappointed. I will pick up this Monteverde Palette someday for sure, when I can afford it.

I heard great things too and got the Iceland palette. I love the mattes - soft, pigmented, easy to blend. But the shimmers were kind of disappointing. They’re soft, sparkly, but not wet and metallic. I like more wet, metallic looks. I’m sad because I love a lot of their color stories, especially this one, but just didn’t like the shimmers at all

Angie, are you mixing up blacklight reactivity with glow-in-the-dark? No neon is going to glow on its own. If your closet is just dark, then we can't be sure yet if they're true neons.

Beautiful looks! A Blue Morpho is a large butterfly, the Resplendent Quetzal is a bird that has incredibly long tail feathers. They did a pretty good job representing Monteverde though I wish some of the shades were a little more muted as it's very misty and kind of dark due to the huge tree canopy in the foret.

I grew up in Hawaii but I am not native Hawaiian. There is no letter V in the Hawaiian language, but all the W are pronounced with a soft V sound. So kind of the opposite of Swedish!

I love the packaging and I'm sure the formula is great, but I wish the shades were more conventionally arranged. The yellow being so close to that purple is jarring and the pinks are so far apart that they look the same. I feel like brands do these "color vomit" arrangements to try to be different but it throws me off and I can't see looks clearly :/

I kind of disagree. I think the color contrasts fit with the scheme of tropical landscape. This kind of environment has close proximity to the sun so it makes sense when everything pops out, full of contrasting colors next to each other and vibrant. I actually think the purple and yellow next to each other don't bother me as much, unless I blend them into muddy colors. I love the chaotic rhythm of the colors.

I'm a matte girl too, Angie! That's why I love your looks! I was just wondering if you could let us know if these colors stay well for a long time. I found some larger color palettes from nomad that I've tried kinda moved and smudged around after hours of wearing them. Maybe I have oily lids or maybe the base primer isn't good enough. But I found some other nomad palettes stays in shape for a long time.
