Only 3 minutes in and im already screaming! As a mythology nerd I am dying! Thank you for including Hela's siblings in the artwork! Also I'd recommend reading The Witch's Heart by Genevieve Gornichec. It follows Angrboda's story (aka Hela's family and story.) They do use the English names of the gods however. Hel instead of Hela.

Mythology nerds unite!!! I hope this doesn’t come off as tacky, but I just did a video breaking down the history of the Rape of Persephone myth and explaining what I focused on when reimagining it for a short story in my book-all while doing an eyeshadow look using the Meet Me in the Underworld palette. (I’m pairing every story in my book with an indie eyeshadow palette and doing an eyeshadow look inspired by the story.)

Ughhhh I LOVE the artwork/design and the Norse mythology for this palette. I admire that you are sticking to your Swedish roots (p.s. never lose that) by collaborating with a Swedish company - especially one as colourful and creative as Oden’s Eye. Although I’m not a fan of pink eyeshadow (more a fan of deep, rich jewel tones and gothic colours), I really will consider this palette as that artwork and this concept is drawing me right in.

I like your swatching on the palm of you hand. The skin is poreless like the eyes, so colour come out more true. No hair or pore impediments and the shape of the hand help with hitting shadow and light.

I just loooove when a palette has a story to tell or if it has a cohesion to its name. The first time I geeked about a palette like that was ABH's Modern Renaissance, the colors made sense for what its named after. And I was so geeked out the first time I've heard of the Oden's Eye brand because everything is just as I wanted it to be. A colorstory that had a story. I actually squeaked loudly when I saw the thumbnail for this video because Hela is one of my favorite goddesses in mythology and pop culture (Marvel's Hela is a fave character of mine, hope they feature her more on future MCU films) . I swore to myself I was going to be on a no-buy this month but this is HANDS DOWN the most beautiful collab palette I have seen released in the years I've been into makeup. Green is my favourite colour, and I love to pair it with pinks, so this is really the perfect palette in my eyes. The curation of shades and finishes is done so beautifully, intentionally and carefully. You can tell how much thought and care went into this, and that it was done by someone with a creative and astute eye for colour. You said you're proud of it, and you really should be. Congratulations Angie! As a Medievalist with a focus on Viking settlements in Britain and Ireland, I love the theme and packaging! According to mythology, Hela/Hel is Loki & Angrboda's daughter and Odin, fearing she and her brothers inherited their parents' penchant to cause disaster, cast her into Niflheim to rule the dead in its 9 worlds. Those that didn't get to spend eternity, feasting & fighting each night in Valhalla after dying in battle or in some heroic act, were destined to roam the cold waste of Hela's Niflheim realm.

I'm so excited for you! This colour story isn't for me, I'm not vibing with all the greens and yellows, Club Nebula was much more up my alley (also regarding design), but the quality of the shadows looks incredible and I'm sure so many people will love it! You deserve this so much 🤍

I beg to differ. Don't get me wrong I don't know you and don't know anything about you, your likes, or how you do your makeup or anything. However, I thought the same thing "at first" but then... I realized after she explained all the colors and how you can incorporate the darker ones it really inspired me to start trying more greens. For example, I just got the Jeffery Star all greens Blood Money palette in a mystery box and I hated it but seeing this and the way she explains using them has completely changed my mind about these types of colors. Now I can really see how I can use the J* palette especially if I have this one to go with it too. I know it will be beautiful with a little experimenting especially if using darker undertones as a base shade to blend with and even on top of a black base would be so sick especially the duo and multi chromes!!! I really hope you will keep an open mind and at least try to play with some colors like these. Even if it's not her actual palette. But I would keep in mind I'm sure there isn't any others out there like these, as good as these, as blendable as these ones together are meant to be or as quality. But I would give it a shot, I know I am. 💯

I totally agree with your comment @Autumn Autopsy. I love all colors, but I can see how some people might not feel like this color story fits them. Any time someone does something unique, something that hasn’t been done a bunch before, it runs the risk of not being for everyone. There’s a reason almost every brand has a neutral palette and neutrals look good on everyone, ya know? But I totally agree that even if it’s not up your alley, that it’s easy to see the love, care, and thought that was put into this. I sadly missed out on Club Nebula (which I kick myself for constantly! lol) but I love how Angie can pivot and do something that’s a totally different vibe just as well.
