As an 70s baby, I was a teenager in the 80s and a young adult in the 90s. Back then even though I loved color...hello blue eyeshadow we've meet and got intimate, in the 90s I never quite understood the grungy neutral look. In my 50s I'm having a color Renaissance and loving making unique and even colorful grunge looks. I love your content and if we ever met...even at my age, I'd totally fan girl! Trying to low buy but this is tempting!

Awwww such a gorgeous classic matte smokey eye. Can’t go wrong. We don’t see enough of it these days :) I was pretty into rock/hard rock/metal/grunge in my youth. Was lucky enough to go see Guns n Roses and Metallica, was a huge fan of Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Nirvana and later on Foo Fighters and such (Dave Grohl should be president of the world). I remember all the hits like Skater Girl or Don’t speak, still know all the words, although I can’t remember what I ate yesterday… The names on those shades are tickling my fancy! Later I also got into indie rock (Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monlkeys), and powerful indie singers like Cat Power, and topped it all of with lots of swing Jazz, to which I learned to dance. I still listen to all of these them days. So much fun to go back to my teen/YA years.

Omg this palette is my 90’s grungy dream come true! It brings me back to my grunge phase and then my goth phase in high school! That being said, you DO look amazing! Thank you for saying that it’s ok to say that bc we have all looked in the mirror after creating a fire look and said DAAAAAAANG (I’d say the bad word but you know, KZbin..). Cannot get over the gorgeous deep shades!

Yes, I don't remember people around my town wearing such vibrant colors, not even artists like "No Doubt (maybe occasionally). But, I remember rock bands like "Korn" wearing more eye makeup than I owned, lol. I saw them 3x's in concert between the time I was 18 to 22 years old. I do love the look of this palette, but I haven't tried any Blend Bunny yet. ❤

Yeah, this isn't very 90's at all really. Super pretty palette though. Grunge was heavy smudgey eyeliner and brown or burgundy lips and pale skin because what was bronzer.

I do shimmer all the way to the outside of my lid however it's typically with duo or multichromes. I also prefer my multichromes to have a see-through base and so you can see the dark transition. All that said, I have round, hooded eyes and it just sort of works. I imagine that the shimmer all the way across the lid may work better for some eye shapes and less well for other eye shapes.

I love seeing how you use your brushes. These have become my favorites. I use the flatter brushes for patting on shimmer. The large blender is my favorite and I will pick up more when they come as singles. Really curious about blend bunny. Like you I love mattes the most. Hey Angelica! Fun challenge idea: recreate Gwen's pink makeup from the video "Ex Girlfriend." She kiiinda wears hot pink blush/contour on the cheeks, it's always been one of my favorite looks from Gwen 😍 However, if you think that style isn'tyour thing, you could literally recreate ANY look from a favorite band.. that'd be such a fun video to watch! Also, Fun fact: The music video of "Ex Girlfriend" from the Return of Saturn album was HEAVILY inspired from the anime KITE. Idk if you like anime, but if you do and haven't seen it, KITE is a cult classic :) Hope you have a great weekend!!

This pallet had me at 90s! I was 5-15 in the 90s and I remember learning from a friends sister to do makeup and it was all about it dark, grungy, heavy black liner and of course the lips with the dark liner and lighter lipstick. Love both looks but I need to recreate he green Smokey eye. 😍 I’m so excited. 90s music is still my go to.

BB has my favorite matte formula, but since I already have their three rainbow palettes and All done up (which is far more 90s grunge than this 2000s scene color story) I don’t feel like this will give me completely different looks. It was the same with Lure, so I hope future palettes offer something completely different for the brand and customers instead of another variation of what they already offer.

You’re so right about this! All done up looks more grungy than this one. I didn’t get that one, nor will I get this one because the only thing I dislike more than matte pastels are shimmery/foiled pastels… nothing grungy about them. They should include darker/richer shimmers, some of the ones on their Dollhouse palette are amazing.

@@shayleigh9892 It’s more like if you have multiple of the more colorful palettes you can probably do looks pretty similar to anything you can get with Lure/Grunge. The tones might be slightly different but how much of a noticeable difference can the blues/teals in Blends make compared to the ones in Lure, and how much different are all the purple rows in Blends/Primal/Lure/Grunge?
