Happy 17th Birthday ! Angelina’s voice and her total being is like an ocean wave or soft summer breeze that takes you in and rushes you to places you have rarely experienced. Your heart rate increases, you find it difficult to catch your breath, chills and shells engulf you. You are now addicted to Angelina Jordan. This coming from a guy that is 74 and has experienced the best vocalists in the world, but none have captured that soft spot like Angelina Jordan does each and every time.

A few years ago, I watched a lot of competition music shows on YT, and it seemed that every other suggestion was for some girl named Angelina Jordan. So, after a couple of months, I decided to check her out and see what all the hype was about. My first peek into the rabbit hole was her cover of Bohemiam Rapsody on AGT. I hookewas left cold-footed from my socks being blown off and needing oxygen theropy. To this day, I cannot make it through a day without some "Angelina time".

That look on her mother's face backstage. Her mouth covered. I always thought she knew her daughter was brilliant and talented. But she's a mother, seeing through a mother's loving eyes. I always thought that was the moment when she truly had her eyes opened and saw what she had on her hands and her life would never be the same again. I think it must have been a mix of overwhelming pride and fear.

Angelina wrote this song following her grandfather’s passing in 2018. She was fourteen at the time. She signed with Republic Records in August of 2020. This song was her debut single and it was released in November of 2020.

Just a quick comment . . . your representation and comments could not have been more real. I'm simply a retired school superintendent from North Dakota that lives with music. Been follow Angelina for six years now and I have actually pulled out some my old jazz classics . . . they never ever get old yet after checking "Gloomy Sunday," sadly did not appear. Hi, i'm catching this on the eve before. So, Birthday Eve? Awww, I just love her Gloomy Sunday audition! And then, there was no going back. The cat had been let out of the bag. Yes, I did the same---played it repeatedly. Million Miles pulled together for me things that had been talked about in interviews---and then so much of it alluded to in this song.....And I am convinced a Great Soul visits us. So much healing in her voice. The last big cry in this song is like all of the crying in the world. And so much hope and comfort in this, too. Suspicious Minds! The epitome of empathic story telling. So many people wonder why they cry so much when they listen to her sing even though they 'know what to expect'. It's because their mind tries logically to recognize what it's about to hear but, their heart knows after one note love is abound and takes over and for some precious moments they travel into a paradise, listening to the voice of Angelina singing for them and receiving her love in their heart through song. Got an idea: Everyone, get a candle and put in on top of a cupcake, or a donut, or a piece of cake, or anything sweet, light it up and sing "Happy Birthday' to Angelina.
