Beautiful reaction! At the 5:14 mark you see her mummy cry. I believe she has said once that she cried because she knew that she had given her daughter to the world at that moment 🙂 And what a gift is was ♥♥♥ Much love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥

Debbie, the woman standing beside Angelina in the freeze frame you had on your screen at the very end is her grandmother Mery Zamani. Mery was reportedly a child prodigy herself in the areas of art and poetry. That has put her in a unique position to be the perfect mentor for Angelina . . . and what a blessing that is!🙏
@peterjohansson4442
@peterjohansson4442 Жыл бұрын
Fully agree. Angelina's grandmother Mery has studied, among other things, psychology. I heard that she met her husband, Angelina's grandfather, when she was studying in Japan. Having a grandmother with these skills, and who was also a "prodigy" in poetry etc., must have been a great advantage for Angelina!

Here is a quote from Angelina (7y) from an interview with TV2 after her Auditions NTG 2014. "The reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but" Gloomy Sunday "was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad where I wanted to listen to jazz on KZbin before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song "Gloomy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. When I sang it for mom, she said that this song is nice, but that it was incredibly sad song. " ♥👣👸🏻🎷

@@wippletits Well Kent. Excuse me. Did I get anything else wrong. I don't mind being corrected Kent but crazies... come on. I've been following this girl for going on 4 years and I try my very best to be accurate and fact based as well as taking the time to correct some of those "sensational" stories. That statement has been floating around and repeated too many times to count. Why are you just now trying to correct it. Where have you been. I'll be happy to correct that statement if it is incorrect and spread the word if you can tell me more to substantiate your claim. Take a look at poolhallshark statement and all the replies. Better get busy if you're going to correct them all. I strive to make statements are always based on facts or at least having a good deal of corroboration and I take pride in doing so. Just trying to get the word out, show my support and inform where I can. Thank you. ♥👣👸🏻☹

Wish you hadn't deleted your comment. Everyone should see it. 👣

Really enjoying your Angelina journey. She is touching you they way she touched us all when we discovered her. She still gives us those feelings. An interesting note about this competition. In an interview after the end of the competition, the young male judge said that after her first two performances they weren’t really sure what to make of her. He said they knew she could sing but didn’t know if she was just a great mimicker or a true artist. However he came across a rehearsal for her third song (Bang Bang) and saw her working with the guitarist about what she wanted and how she wanted him to play. He said they knew then that she was the real deal.

Hi again, Debbie! Can you imagine being a judge on that panel? This itty bitty 7-year-old comes out and says she's going to sing a serious classic about someone who contemplates suicide after his lover's death ... and that she's going to do in the style of Billie Holiday. And then she actually *does* it, with both solid technique and style. Floors me every time. Happy to see you're enjoying your Angelina time! Cheers.

If you plan on doing "I'm a fool to want you" from NGT next, I suggest to compare two videos. The first one is the actual performance, when she sang the song a cappella, which is a feat in itself. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gonOn3-QedSFjLM In the second video someone added the instrumental to that performance without altering her voice. Hi Debbie 👋. That was a wonderful reaction and thanks for getting the one with sub titles. Always want it if available. The next one on the NGT show is the judges cut, were she sings a capella "I'm a fool to want you" and she's 7 here also. Good luck on that one. Her interpretation is haunting and beautiful. Your brain really will break. Just incase you didn't read what someone put down ill post it. What Angie said about “Gloomy Sunday" choice “The reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but “Gloomy Sunday “ was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad, where I wanted to listen to jazz on KZbin before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song “Gloomy Sunday” that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. When I sang it for mom, she said that this song is nice, but that it was incredibly sad song.”-AJ (Sara, Angie's mom was asked what she thought when she saw her on the screen backstage, (she was wiping her tears when watching) I knew I had just lost my little girl to the world ) The family has always been very close & since that even more protective of her from the entertainment industry’s vultures & hyena's. God bless you and your family 🙏 ✝️❤ 🙂👍

Angelina's emotional authenticity when she sings is astounding. You have many more surprises in store from her. I like her rehearsal videos also, and my favorite is a single-take run-through of I'm A Fool To Want You while she was in the recording booth for her album It's Magic. She was 11 at the time, and she was singing without processing and with very quiet accompaniment. It's staggeringly, heartbreakingly beautiful. Here's a link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWrXfmCJpcilZ7M

It’s such a delight to watch your Angelina reactions. All of us Angelina fans know exactly how you feel. We had the very same reaction to these performances the first time we saw them. What’s unique about Angelina is that she still leaves me in awe and still moves me to tears three and half years after first discovering her. Even listening to the same performance by her dozens of times never gets old. In fact, what I find is that the more times I listen to an Angelina performance, the more I get out of it. She crafts every single note with such mastery and imbues it with such emotion that you can never exhaust the value of her talent. I envy you that you have so many mind-blowing performances by her still to discover. You obviously get what is utterly remarkable about her, so I'm sure as you continue in your Angelina journey you will be astonished again and again. Once you have seen a few more performances by her I think you will also start to understand how incredibly versatile she is as well. Just when you think you know what she sounds like, or what style or genre she belongs to, she stuns you with something completely different. She is a gift to the world, and she has enriched my life beyond measure.

Yes, obviously as a 7 y old she couldnt really comprehend the reaction. An old lady told her she made her cry, which outright terrified her - she launched into a big apology, saying of course she didnt intent that (which earned her a big hug). Angelina’s Grandma is her greatest inspiration and introduced her to Jazz and the old Classic songs, Angelina’s Grandmother is a talented Iranian artist, and Angelina’s deceased Grandfather was Japanese, Angelina’s mother is Norwegian and Angelina’s father is Swedish,When Angelina signed with Republic Records at 14 years old Angelina wrote a heartfelt tribute song about her Grandfather called ( Million Miles) which is one of Angelina’s best original songs, Barefoot story, Angelina while traveling in the Middle East Angelina met a poor homeless girl the same age as Angelina around 6 years old, the homeless girl was by the roadside weighing people for money,Angelina in gaged with conversion and noticed the homeless girl had no shoes and scared feet, so Angelina gave the girl her own shoes,So Angelina always performs barefoot to remember all the children less fortunate, and today at 17 years old still performs barefoot, Angelina has raised millions of dollars for environmental causes and children’s charities, and apparently Angelina gave her winnings from Norways Got Talent to charity, this young artist is not just a amazing singer songwriter Angelina has many other amazing talents and qualities and is so humble, and I’m so glad she has amazing family support she is wrapped in a warm family blanket, great reaction thanks 🙏

AJ was born a butterfly and is literally growing into an angel. To this day she sings with a power that defies belief then stops and reveals a gentle humility and sweetness that melts you as much as her expressive singing. Her ten year journey documented on KZbin shows unbelievable growth from month to month and shows no sign of slowing at the ripe old age of 17. Today she looks like a supermodel but when she speaks seems as humble as ever. I wish her every success since she has worked so hard on her craft. She receives so much love from her millions of fans but has a heart big enough that she returns that love with interest! She has helped raise millions for charities and I really believe she will use her growing success to do even more to help our troubled world.

In Angelina's case you don't need to "underestimate" and I know you don't, her ability to understand what she is singing about or the emotion she conveys to us as listeners and her understanding of what the judges are telling her. She is something else as soon as she is on stage and Sing's is an adult when she stops singing she is a girl like any other girl. But in general she is always mature for her age. You'll see more videos and songs she sings and you'll understand what I'm talking about...🦶🦶👑🗣🎙🎷

Thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU for reacting to this entire video, Debbie! Most reactors edit out the before and after sections of this video, and go straight to her performance. Then they ask US, "How old was she when she did this?" Well, DUH!! They miss her TELLING us how old she is in the backstage interview, and again even AFTER she tells the judges that she's seven! Like she did with the female judge on the right, I'm often amazed how she can pull the tears from my eyes, then IMMEDIATELY go back to being a little kid when her performance is finished. I cried the first time I watched/heard this video, too. I saw a video where Simon Cowell, one of the judges on America's Got Talent, followed her backstage after her performance and remarked [paraphrased] , "I don't believe you know just how good you really are!" To this day, she has remained that humble. Thanks again. 💕

Then you should skip ahead in the timeline just once, to Angelina's performance of "Bohemian Rhapsody" on America's Got Talent (age 13.) It will help you to understand what to expect, going forward. Of course, she's even better than THAT, now. Her first album will be released this Fall (Republic Records.) You're going to want to be all caught up by then.

I think you need to start to get over Angelina's age. I believe you discount what Angelina understands because she is so young in the video's you have seen thus far. Angelina perfectly understands what an old sole is because this wasn't the first time she had heard it. She is a prodigy, a musical genius, and I am 100% convinced that she understands exactly what she is singing and the meaning behind the songs. Angelina is an absolute force of nature and I believe the greatest vocalist to have EVER lived.

@@thequestionqueens It does, but Angelina is an artist, regardless of age. I am just saying that you should probably stop saying her age 114 times in each video. We get it, she was still a baby, but you need to look beyond the age and look at the artist. Because whether she was 6 singing I Who Have Nothing, 8 singing Summertime, 10 singing I'm Still Holding Out for You, 12/13 singing I'd Rather Go Blind, or 17 singing Love Don't Let Me Go, she is a professional vocalist and should be viewed as such. I am seen countless reactors say she is incredible, especially for her age. They needed to stop at the word incredible. I guess it is a touchy subject for me. Greatness is greatness regardless of ethnicity, gender, nationality, or age. When I watch and/or listen to Angelina, all I see and/or hear is greatness. All that being said, I do enjoy your reactions and have subscribed for more Angelina.

Most singers have to learn vibrato. Angelina just had it. Same with "emotional transport", the ability to convey emotions. Performers study to learn it, and even so only have a fraction of Angelina's natural ability.

A little advice. AJ’s library is over 160 videos. At this point I would suggest you move to other AJ material she created at other ages. She just released a single and an album is coming soon. You are going to want to react to her new material when she releases it. I suggest you do Bohemian Rhapsody from AGT next. Age 13 and the performance that most fans were first exposed to. Then to see where she is today, I would watch her most recent material, the cover of the Elvis Presley song Suspicious Minds and her just released single “Love Don’t Let Me Go.” Then you could bounce around at different ages, different genres.

Another great reaction, and since you've already seen the song she won with, 'Summertime', you need to finish NGT with her doing Nancy Sinatra's 'Bang Bang' and please don't miss her acapella version of Billie Holiday's 'I'm a Fool to Want You'. Trust me that one will have you literally falling on the floor. I might suggest you do both those in the same video, as some other reactors do. Then you will be primed for all else that awaits you. We will be waiting to watch😀

It might interest you to know that she picked out this song on her I-Pad late one night while listening to Billie Holliday songs. At least that is my understanding of how and who selects the songs she will sing. She does!!! In these very early years of her life, she preferred listening to Jazz and so a lot of what we get to listen to from those times is from the 50s and 60s. I can see already that she has “changed” you, just as she has changed me and thousands of other “Angels”. I am 76 yrs old, yet I have been “changed” inside of my heart and soul by Angelina. I look forward so very much to your reactions. Us Angels know exactly what you mean and why you react the way you do. I’m waiting for you to do “What a Difference a Day Makes”. Thank you so much for your reactions,

In all these years I have listened to she thousands of times in hundreds of splendid interpretations and yet every time I see this first performance of hers at the age of 7, it makes me move again, like the first time, with that wonderful concentration of humility, simplicity, candor, sympathy and talent. 💛🧡❤

Great reaction. And this performance goes viral overnight on the internet and suddenly the whole world is transfixed on a 7 year old Norwegian girl and by the time she turns 8 she wins Norske Talenter with her performance of Summertime and it goes viral again and Angelina and her family are pursued by a horde of music executives but no thanks they all are turned down because her family want her to try to have a chance at a normal childhood. At 14 years of age Angelina signs with the biggest recording company in the world Republic Records-UMG and is labeled their highest priority artist but with the caveat from her family that there is to be no promotional push until she graduates from high school Well that is any day now and all of her fans can not wait for her first L.P. from Republic Records coming this summer after an E.P. in June. Thx again.

*Why Angelina always performs barefoot* At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. PLEASE PURCHASE Angelina’s book from her merchandise store on her official website, angelinajordanofficial

What is hard to comprehend is what is a child prodigy? A child that is showing a superior adult level of competency in a specific area at an early age. I think Angelina has the ability to channel Jazz Singers from the past, went she closes her eyes she completely immerses herself in the music and lyrics of the song. OR she has a time machine?

Even at this age, Angelina understood much more than older children and even some adults. It had been over a year since she was stopped in her tracks by a homeless orphan to whom she donated the shoes off her feet and vowed to thenceforth perform barefoot to bring attention to child poverty. Thoughts from a journal she kept at the time formed the basis of a book, "Mellom to hjerter (Between Two Hearts)", the authorship of which made her Norway's youngest published writer at 9 years old. During a TV appearance following her book's publication, Angelina was invited to read a passage from her journal and was asked by the interviewer for confirmation that the encounter took place in the Middle East. Angelina right away hit back with: "Yes, but it could have been anywhere." Not the response of a child who lacks understanding.

Wonderful reaction again, Debbie. As you carry on listening to her, you’ll come to realise that Angelina is a truly gifted child with a high IQ and EQ, on top of everything else. ALL the fairy godmothers were crowded round her crib at birth, it seems. My grandchildren love singing, too; but, as you say, children don’t sing like that! There always has to be an exception, though, and Angelina is it! And we are so, so lucky to have her in our lives 😇
