Hey Unk, As you know by now, both of them have released it on their channels. Another Angel and I went to the hotel café Wednesday night. We attended the Vibrato to see Toby, Thursday night. Sadly, Angelina could not make it. He spoke very highly of her, and he is as genuine in person as he appears on video. He talked to everyone during the break and after the 2 hour show. His daughter did three solo performances. What an adventure. Couldn’t wait for you to review this one. Hugs., Neph 😇🌺

Angelina, stepping into a new level of Female Empowerment. One important line from 'Bad Valentine' is; "I said I told you I will mess up your heart.', finally revolted at the smug, self-satisfied Chauvinism, really asserting control. But, she's already literally wearing 'man pants and belt', but, that's because she had just finished performing 'If I Were A Boy', minutes earlier, where she's singing/playing the part as an Alpha Female, 'wearing the pants', telling the new-ex it's 'a little too late for you to come back' after ignoring or not even being aware of her needs. This is quite different from the Beyonce' sing of 'If I Were A Boy' at the 2011 Grammys, she was 28, in a skirt, a very short skirt. To give credit, the music also evolved into a medley and back. She was also dancing but, the many male dancers were depicted as strong men, not selfish wimps by any means, performing their moves in 'future military armor' costume and she was doing 'audience interacting' as well. But, Angelina, is a fabulous revelation here, even seizing control of her career.

There was a pay-per-view-livestream from this event availalble for $10, but only for 24 hours. I watched it at the time, so I never had a guilty feeling. 😄I Initially recordings from this livestream were not tolerated by Toby. This phone recording was leaked(?) by Grandma Mery a few days after that, and it confused me, and I initially did not link to it. But it was not taken down, it's still on TikTok, and this is were this YT video was copied from. So either Angelina and Toby were ok with it, or they jsut didn't wan't to argue with her grandma... 😏 In addittion Toby gave James Thiel the ok to publish the recording from the livestream (thus with better quality) a couple weeks later, so I guess it's ok to watch nowadays. I guess the published original will have a quite different instrumentation.

I respect MOMO, as I am like him. Which is why I don't like these channels that record livestreams and upload. At least get some sort of permission before doing so. And we all know Angelina eventually is going to become a superstar, but she is still at the beginning at 18 years of age. Cheating her releases like this will have a massive impact on what her music video will have views on. I mean in other words this song now is probably already known by a million viewer which her music video won't have. And I'm sure some of them if not all make money out of it. @most2dot0, Your choice of words carry meaning. "Leaked" by Grandma Mery suggests that neither Toby nor Angelina knew she was posting. Do you know that? Maybe Mery just posted it on TikTok without the illicit connotation. "Or they just didn't want to argue with grandma". Why would that be an option. Mery is an artist. She understands how the professional world works. If they truly cared, I think they would have just asked- not "argue" about it. It also seems so disingenuous to think that Toby and/or Angelina wouldn't know that showcasing a new song on a livestream would lead to its appearance on social media. Angelina saw what happened to her Christmas ppv. She also saw what happened to the request (by AJ or the venue) to not record at Portsmouth. Also, "...so I guess it's okay to watch nowadays", is a passive- aggressive dig. If Toby gave James permission, there is no "guessing" involved. It may be a shame that an artist's wishes go unheeded, but if you don't want something to go public before you desire it to, then don't put it into the public arena. I agree with the assessment that this can hurt the return on the song, but it can also generate great interest for the upcoming collaborative works. I do like the reality that, if it's going to be out there, the better quality, the better for all. I understand Momo's distress.

I think that since Toby gave his permission to James, all is well with this performance being out there (except it would have been "better" to see James' upload). It took me a while before I could watch reactions to "I'm Still Holding Out For You" since I believed AJ didn't want it out there. When it got to the point that it seemed that she (and her team) didn't mind, I was all in. The social media world can be hard to navigate. Peace!

@@garyswee9061 I watch this, because there is that permission, yet still I'm not sure about. But it still gave me that "it's okay since Toby permissioned it". On the other hand something tells me that they can't go around it, so they have to give permission. Imagine posting an embarrassing photo of yourself hoping that it won't get all over the internet. Today you can't hope for that it will get shared all over no matter what. With multiple channels bouncing on Angelina's TikTok and Insta to record her uploads to re upload them on youtube. While I do understand that she will not upload something that she doesn't want to share, I still believe some things like that performance of bad valentine had to be performed and live streamed and maybe Angelina and Toby hoped that it won't get recorded. In other words just because Toby gave permission we still not certain what he thinks about it. So it's like I'm on the edge of both sides until I know something certain.

I'm not sure why they made the decision to perform it. I'm glad they did! And, yes, it MAY have forced Toby's hand, but I just don't think that likely. Angelina, and her team and collaborators, seem to have a different idea about how to do things than most performers. I guess we'll see if it works.

Wonderful reaction Momo, I really liked it. In this original song, Angelina's performance is fantastically raw and aggressive with her unique voice, raspy and deep, while she performs fantastic and beautiful tonal scales, which completely captivates you. Angelina's musical eclecticism transcends the ordinary and she always manages to give a unique and passionate vision of her songs, whatever genre they are. She truly has a musical knowledge and analytical ability that is beyond my understanding. However, there is a much better video was released by AJ fan James Thiel who also got special permission from Toby Gad himself to release this video on KZbin. kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4XNq5uGiLuaq8U You'll see and hear the difference because it came from a Livestream that the venue had recorded. As for the song, this is a banger of a song and Angelina's vocals are incredibly soulful. We should feel bad yeah. Absolutely. In this case a better quality video was sanctioned, and here you did a shout out for a channel the jury is still in session over. But this video itself was released by her team, just taken from tiktok and put on that channel, potentially without permission. The better video was released from the venue live stream with amazing quality. Amazing song and performance, be sure to watch the other vid for yourself, and turn it up. ❤. Appreciate your apprehension. It looks bad to me for that channel. You can feel a lack of respect in some channels. Some feel sanctioned, others feel like they've drawn the ire of her team with many channel changes and videos being deleted. Seems to go hand in hand with their consideration in the content they post and how they present it if changes are made. Some are there to use her, some are there to celebrate her. But there is version available that has the OK from Toby Gad personally and it's a much better video and, by association Angelina and her family. The fans have some very good communication with some of the family. They are aware that we only seek to promote her and I think they welcome it when they can. Hey Unc., The first person you hear screaming is Juliette, Angelina's baby sister I think she just turned 13. She is also the one that says, "Let's Go!!" There is another video that is out and put up with the permission of the powers that be. Look for the one put up by James Thiel. Oh heck with it I'll give you the link. So, I wouldn't feel tool badly about playing this video. Also, if you listen closely, Toby said it will be a few months before the finished product comes out. So, you were really listening to a rough copy.
