Listening to these earlier recordings of Angelina, at first one is surprised by how good a 12-year-old can sound, but then you realise her age doesn't matter. The performance is beyond all that, on another level altogether. She makes every song her own and seems to sing them just for us. And you are right about the feel of this song, walking, pondering, reflecting on a relationship that didn't work out, but at the same time accepting it all as the way things sometimes are. It has become an obsession of mine to seek out authentic and genuine channel masters, with wide musical tastes. The added benefit of having a radiantly beautiful presenter, is a bias that I can live with. There is another southern beauty from Kentucky by the name of Ms. Debbie Presley that had been so taken by Ms. Jordan's musicality that she was invited to be a guest on a podcast that only features Angelina's music and was treated to two versions of "Crazy" by Ms. Jordan. Ms. Presley, who is an devoted fan of Ms. Cline, admitted to the hosts, Mr. Alan Papier and Pontus Osterlin, that Angelina's versions carried a superior depth of interpretation. I love Willie Nelson and his music that comes from the heart. His guitar nickname was Trigger. He named it after Roy Rogers horse and often referred to it as his horse. Great reaction Neighbor! Here’s a bit of trivia for you… “Crazy” is one of Angelina’s favorite songs! She has mentioned this on numerous occasions. Because of this, you’ll find her collection of KZbin performances has quite a few versions of the song. Aside from the tone Angelina uses for this song, a deep, resonant, velvety softness she has truly refined so well, by this time, at 12, she's been singing jazz, blues, etc. for at least six or seven years, and though a child, she managed to master the genres so well. She has the confidence, skill and seemingly innate genius to play with the timing, pausing sometimes so long, particularly with this song (a la Patsy and Willie), those pauses almost like sighs, accentuating the meaning and effect of the lyrics. This is not the first or last time Angelina's genius in the timing of her singing - the rhythm and the cadence and the tone and the vocal gymnastics to possibly even excel at performing another genius' song. No disparagement intended - I could listen to Patsy Cline and Willie Nelson all day, possibly for the same reason I can and do listen to Angelina all day - genius. And we know that from 12 to 17, Angelina has only gotten better, and probably, hopefully, the best is yet to come. I’ve seen Willie live in Anchorage Alaska 20 some years ago. The man wrote some great songs and his presentations are perfect. The primary difference between Patsy and Angelina is ability verses taste. I love what Patsy did back in the day when I was still in grade school, but she was first and foremost a country “ belter”. She loved the big strong endings on songs and was advised to soften the tone of these most memorable recordings. Angelina is a natural empath with the vocal ability to tell the true meaning of any song. She doesn’t try to impress with talent and ability, she only try’s to empath the story to the best of her ability. In short, nothing for effect. Everything for the story.

@@redheadedneighbor It was interesting that Angelina was doing an homage to Patsy Cline, including using her picture. But the guitar player was obviously giving respect to Willie. There isn't even a guitar solo in either Patsy Cline's or Willie's original version. But that sound could have been inspired by any number of Willie's live performances. Angelina supposedly does all her own arrangements, so it would be interesting to know, who's idea it was to add the guitar solo. There are a lot of videos of her playing with those same musicians in concert and in practice sessions. I'm guessing it was the guitar player who came up with it, and Angelina liked it. Even in Norway, musicians would know Willie Nelson's signature sound.

Great reaction, my redheaded friend. No need to explain WHY you don't really appreciate a specific artist really. Not everyone can love everyone, it's just as simple as that. Personally I love me some Patsy. Just tragic that she died so young in that plane crash, returning from Memphis. This is one of the songs that Angelina has performed the most, and from age 15 she has made a few REALLY exceptional performances of it. By that I'm obviously not saying that THIS wasn't extremely good as well, by a 12 year old girl. I heard him say in an interview that the original name was "Stupid." I'm really glad he changed it.
