Her lower voice is so beautiful, well controlled and so natural and so beautiful. She is amazing and an old soul I can tell by her singing and also her activism. She so young to have a deep of a range, but man that song was song wonderfully by her.

This performance is a perfect example of a comment I've made before. How many vocalists can you name who make you “feel” their vocals in your soul, or just reach in and grab your heart, and bring you to tears every time? That’s Angelina. How many vocalists can you name who aren’t just singing to the music, but rather their voice IS the music? That’s Angelina, with her wonderful melisma, vocal fry, vibrato, and jazz stylings. That’s why Angelina is at her best when accompanied by only one or two acoustic instruments. Her ability to slow the tempo, make you anticipate, then hang on every word is amazing. Her lower register here is insane. And when she sings the line, "Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee," it gives me the goosebumps all over.

@Concerned Citizen It's not the London Symphony Orchestra, its the Senbla Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jules Buckley. issuu.com/mondiale/docs/tpisep18_digitallr/s/11124. That said, I was addressing this song as an "example" of how Angelina imparts "feeling" to her music. It was not meant to be taken as where she is at her best. Sorry if I gave that impression.

@Concerned Citizen Thank you for mentioning about the music stand, I hadn't noticed; explains how that "rumor" about LSO got started.

I love this video, and concerning that line, I can't get through it without sheading tears. One reason Angelina is singing this so low, is she is in the same key that Elvis, a baritone, performed it in. Now Angelina's version has become my favorite, because she makes the lyrics sing with the emotion they were intended.

Angelina surprises each and every time. Simply beautiful. Thankfully she wakes us out of our Angelina trance by saying BYE, otherwise there would Angelina angels walking around in a happiness daze bumping into things.

Mace! I've been missing your Angelina reactions, buddy :) Glad you found this one. This is one that was released about a year ago, and then taken down after just a couple days. "Yozhik v Tumane" was able to resurrect it, and created this lovely video to go along with it. I think she hits some of her lowest notes on record in this one. ...and it's yet one more facet to her incredible versatility.

Nice reaction! That was "pure" Angelina! Her choice to deliver this well known hymn as simply, at such a slow tempo, and pitched as low as she did makes it especially poignant and powerful.

Hello this song was written in the 1800s as you say, it was made more famous by Elvis Presley. Here, Angelina sounds like a female Elvis, and it would be the real treat to hear a mashup between the two singers.

The swede Carl Boberg wrote this christian song in the 1860-s. Angelinas father is swedish so it is a connection there. She sang it so good and with a big hart.

The recording was originally published as Angelina's new years greeting to her fans for the year 2020, and I think it was recorded the same day, or maybe a few days earlier.

I am always amazed by your English especially your vocabulary. It is on a different level than most other reactors. English is not my native language. Thank you for your reaction. This is a beautiful version by Angelina.

Mace, what's so incredible when you listen to something like this is the arrangement Angelina creates for each of the songs she sings to us. She's not singing words to us. She's sending us a message explaining the song, telling us a story. It shouldn't be overlooked or taken for granted. She's just remarkable. And, she makes all of us better people. Some people don't even realize it until someone complements them. She touches our hearts and that starts a relationship which will never end.

It is worth noting that this was initially posted on her Grandmother's "Angelina Jordan Fanclub Mosarz" channel, was only there for a day or so and then pulled. This is a fan produced version from a quickly downloaded copy. The only conclusion one can make is that Angelina didn't want it out there; presumably because it didn't meet her standard; but who knows?

Angelina's voice is really unique in its age and position, but I hope it does not rely too much on such sound techniques.
@YozhikvTumane3 жыл бұрын
I think her choice of key for this recording might have been a form of exercise to expand her range, or just an experiment to see if she could pull it of. It is just at the limit of her range, and she displays an interesting technique on the lowest notes where she's using the vibrato to help relax the throat and keep the note stable.
