Not only that, she treats Angelina as her family member. Norah always tour with her family. When she met Angelina, Norah ask permission from Angelina's family so Angelina could join with Norah family. Then she asked Angelina to open her show.

This is always an interesting performance to me, as the 9-year-old performance is stuck in my mind. You can hear the depth and fullness of her voice developing already two years later. But the technique is a little different and she has cut down on the growling and rasp, possibly to save her voice. This was an honor for her and I hope there are more such events coming in the near future. Happy New Year.

I think that’s the only recording of this. Forty thousand in the audience? No problem. Almost everyone, let alone an 11 year old, would be nervous in a situation like this, but AJ has told us many times that this is exactly where she wants to be-doing exactly what she wants to do. She is completely present-fitting her performance to the situation. Angelina gives us what she’s feeling that day, and it will be different the next time.

This was not a specific Norah Jones concert, but both Angelina and Norah performed at the Muse in City festival, which showcased female artists. So Angelina's afternoon performances had little to do with Norah's gig.

At 11, Jordan barefoot was already as tall as Norah Jones, who isn’t very tall, but still, since she’s always alone on the stage, her height was never really evident as she was growing up, until AGT when she was 13 and already taller than Heidi Klum, who is 5’9”. I only bring this up because because she looked so tiny as a 7 year old in NGT, but she was also the youngest contestant by far that year.

Lol Tom white. Angelina was asked to sing twinkle little star when she was about 5 or six at school with her class. No way little Angelina wanted to or was going to sing that. She even shook her head at other kidds around her. As if to say don't you sing it either was real funny. There is film footage of it too. The Funny thing is I don't think many if anyone at her school knew Angelina could sing, till she won Norways Got Talent. Be fun to know if anyone at school did know lol.

Patrick. Angelina sang about 9 or 10 or more other songs at her own concert at same venue earlier that day. This might be why Angelina said. They asked me to sing one more song. English also isn't her first language. Still at 11years old. I remember I looked, Hi and low for the other song too lol. Norah Jones also had Angelina tacked on the end of Norahs show too. Will find it on Norahs Korea concert on Norahs KZbin.

Regarding the 40.000 people, I think people mixed this up with her other performances a year earlier also in South Korea/Seoul, during the 2016 Rotary Convention, which had that many participants. Though not necessarily at the concert.

There is a lot of misinformation and exaggeratinos about this performance. The information that I was able to put together is slightly different. This event was held on April 17, 2017 at 88 Garden Stage, Olympic Park, Seoul, South Korea. 3 performers were scheduled for that day. Angelina Jordan, Corinne Baily Rae, and Norah Jonnes. Angelina performed in the afternoon a total of 7 songs, Bang Bang, Summertime, I Put a Spell on You, Back to Black, Faded, What a Difference a Day Makes, and I'll Be There. Norah Jones was scheduled to perform later that evening. Angelina wanted to attend Norah's performances. Norah was running late for her event so the organizers of the event ( not Norah) asked Angelina to perform another song until Norah was ready. that's why Angelina said "they asked me" and not Norah asked me. She was not dressed in her gown that she performed in earlier in the day rather in more comfortable casual attire. She was not scheduled to open for Norah Jones. I watched all her performances at this event. Here are some of my observations. -During Angelina's performances in the afternoon the crowds were much smaller and seemed not very engaged maybe because they were not familiar with Angelina. Angelina carried on like a true professional. -Her performance of Summertime included the second verse which she ommited from her NGT performance due to time restrictions. -At the end of her performance of I Put a Spell on You later that evening she quickly glanced at the palm of her hand to remember the korean language "thank you" "Gamsahabnida". - The crowds were nowhere close to 40,000. In 2016 angelia performed during the Rotary International convention that was held between May 28 and June 1 and was attended by more than 42,000 Rotary members, thus the mixup. Does all of this diminish Angelina's talent? Not at all. If anyone has different information, I stand to be corrected.

You are right that the 40k crowd was for Angelina's performance in Seoul 2016 (Rotary convention), but since this RMX video has effectively (albeit inadvertently) created "alternative facts" it is now almost impossible to correct. I remember seeing crowd numbers for this festival of 5k at the opening (Angelina Jordan) and 10k at the closing concert (Norah Jones), but I don't know the source anymore (it was a few days ago ;-) ). The festivals schedule is still online and has a total of 6 concerts (02:00 PM Angelina Jordan, 02:30 PM The Barberettes, 03:50 PM Lucia, 05:00 PM Kim Yuna, 06:30 PM Corinne Bailey Rae, 08:10 PM Norah Jones). The three other acts are from Korea. Maybe so many people weren't there for Angelina, but simply came a little earlier to see the Korean acts. I still believe (personal impression without having any proof) that this isn't the only song she sang that evening - A) the audience greets her enthusiastically and she doesn't introduce herself before she starts singing - i.e. she was on that very stage earlier, as most of the crowd wasn't there that afternoon B) she says they asked me to sing ANOTHER song - which means there was at least one more song before that, if not two.
