This is actually her first In studio performance of this song! She has three other songs that she performed in this studio which happens to be at the after school program and the engineer is one of the teachers! Angelina is actually seven years old here and who happens to be a musical prodigy. She has God given talent that is how she does this! Notice how she is reading the lyrics in her second language! Her control and precision are out of this world! She hit the one note that is why she jumped! Signals Grandma Mery with the thumbs up saying I got this. RMX Kaleidoscope did a mashup with Jordan and Eva Cassidy, who died of melanoma at 33 in 1996. What a waste! It’s a lovely video between two beautiful souls. Their voices melt together perfectly in Sting’s classic song. It’s too bad you don’t have TikTok, Jordan has stolen a lot of songs from Harry Styles, Adele, Lana del Rey, The Animals, and many other artists on her TikTok channel. It’s a treasure trove of way too short brilliance!

Now that you're "on to" her TikToks, there is another one from when she was 15 that you ABSOLUTELY don't wanna miss. It is one of my favorites by her tbh, performing "Endless Love". I'm afraid to leave links here, but I can tell you that you will find the video on Rusty Shackleford's channel. Until a couple of years ago, he was THE source come Angelina, and you will find ALL her performances up til around age 15/16 on the channel, organized in neat playlists. The erroneous information that this was AJ's first studio recording and that she was 6-years old at the time has been perpetuated for some time. This was NOT Angelina's first studio performance, and she was not 6, but maybe 7 (see her teeth). The studio audio man (probably her teacher) meant that it was the first try at this song. The sound was from the outside monitor. There are four or five earlier performances in this school studio. I've never heard her sing that song after that.

There is a video of an interview of her at home. She is a little younger than the I Who Have Nothing performance. In the interview she plays a toy guitar and sings Rolling In the Deep. It shows that her vocal skills aren’t quite there yet. There’s a snippet of it at the end of her 10 Years In the Making documentary. What is amazing is how quickly her singing abilities developed after then and all through her NGT performances

She was actually already early 8 here, and it wasn't her first time in that studio either. Many fans believe that, because the original video had the wrong age in its title most of its existence (and this one still does), and they mistake the comment from the audio engineer about this being the first time, likely meaning the first take of the song in the studio. The age can without be determined by comparing the state of her teeth with known references as her NGY performances. It's clear, that this was shortly after her I'm A Fool To Want You performance from early February 2014. The teeth can be best seen when she celebrates the first time in the song. Slowing the video down can help in the assessment.

I understand, and thanks for the info. It's crazy how many comments I get solely related to age specificity so I t's unfortunate there is some ambiguity with some of the videos out there, but certainly doesn't in my opinion take anything away from her performances. I guess my goal is more so to listen to her sing, then to assess the growth of her teeth. Please also understand a lot of my context comes directly from someone who sends a link to request and provides the only info I have in the moment. Thank you again!

Just a general hint: all videos that state that she would be 5, 6 or 7 years old from the "Angelina Jordan Fanclub Mosarz" channel (that was run by her grandma, where Mery released in 2019/2020 many videos of young Angelina) are off by a year. As said before, I explain this in the video I linked before with lots of facts backing that claim. Though I understand, that you as a reactor probably don't want to look at it for the spoilers of other songs you have not seen...

As a retired Dentist I can tell you she’s not six years old. She’s more likely seven as her upper central incisors have already been lost and tooth #8( her upper right permanent central is just starting to make its appearance). This was likely the Summer before her first audition for NGT, as she looks about that same age, and her voice sounds very similar. Quite remarkable, nonetheless. Her vocal abilities at this age are really quite remarkable, and they were probably preparing her for the NGT competition.

Angelina's first studio performance is sooo impressive! What stands out to me apart from her pitch, tone, etc. is her instinctive sense of timing! She intuitively lets the song "breathe".
