Why does Angelina sing barefoot? It is not just for comfort as you say. The answer may bring a tear to your eye. It is related to a promise she made to herself and to the world when she was only 6 years old. She was traveling in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own favorite shoes. Angelina ask the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said a doctor, but she could not because she had to take care of her siblings. She asked Angelina the same question and Angelina said I want to sing for the world. The young girl said she would pray for Angelina. Since then, Angelia has forever performed barefoot as a reminder of all those less fortunate. At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She even stated at 8 years old that she would be donating her winnings from Norway's Got Talent to charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing an emotional bond.

If you didn't know yet Angelina singing barefooted has nothing to do with being comfortable. She has been doing that since her experience when she was 6 when she gave her shoes to a homeless girl with no shoes and cut foot on a cold wet day who was weighing people in the market to make money to support her siblings. From that day the little girl promised to pray for Angelina who wants to sing for the world and Angelina said she will sing barefooted from then on . Angelina has since donated millions to support homeless children ❤❤❤❤👣

Toby Gad is the original co-writer of the song and invited Angelina to sing it for his Piano Diaries project - they also performed the song live at the London Palladium and on an Amazon livestream last week. Angelina and Toby Gad are collaborating on new music to be released later in 2024 - the first song will be Bad Valentine.

This is NOT really a cover, but Angelina's version made for her commissioned by the songwriter "Toby Gad" himself to perform with Angelina Jordan's rendition and interpretation of the song. Always love your AJ reactions! Toby Gad and BC Jean originally wrote this song back in 2008. Jean originally performed this song, but then Beyonce heard it and recorded it in the same year. Toby is now recreating some of his original songs with new singers and he chose Angelina to record this new version. Toby is playing the piano in this video. Toby and Angelina will also be releasing a new song in the coming months titled "Bad Valentine".

Very beautiful perfomance and setting. Toby Gad will be performing his original songs in live concert in LA on 20th of June with many different singers. I don't know if Angelina will be there but I think maybe she will be there performing this song. She works with Toby Gad with some totally new material also. This song was first time recorded almost 20 years ago, BC Jean first did it and after that Beyonce did it.

Nice reaction! On the piano is the co-writer of the song, Toby Gad. Just to let you know, the other co-writer of the song, BC Jean, was the first to sing the song as well as the person the song came from. Per Toby, they played it for Beyonce one day and she really wanted to sing and use this song, and the rest you say is history. Angelina and Toby have been working together for a while now and are creating new music for her to sing. They teased a song at a special event called Bad Valentine and it should be coming out within a few months. This collaboration is awesome! The Piano Diaries is Toby's project of other singers singing his most famous songs. Angelina of course is singing this song made famous by Beyonce. Who is Toby Gad? Gad is a German music producer and songwriter based in Los Angeles. He is known for co-writing songs including John Legend's biggest hit, "All of Me", the fifth-highest certified single in RIAA history, and for co-writing and producing "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Fergie and "If I Were a Boy" by Beyoncé. Other notable works include "Skyscraper" for Demi Lovato, "Who You Are" for Jessie J, "Untouched" for The Veronicas, "A Year Without Rain" for Selena Gomez & the Scene, "Don't Hold Your Breath" for Nicole Scherzinger, "Love You More" for JLS, and "I Do" for Colbie Caillat.

Actually Angelina has dark brown eyes but has worn blue contact lenses for a few years now. Toby Gad is a multi Grammy award-winning songwriter and producer who wrote this particular song for Beyoncé. Toby is now producing an album called Piano Diaries which will contain eight of his top songs. He is having lesser known aspiring young artists perform them and he chose Angelina for this. He is so impressed with her that they are collaborating on some new music coming in the next few months, perhaps an album. This is a huge break for Angelina, working with one of the legendary songwriters in the industry Who has worked with many of the superstars you know.

Just a clarification, Toby Gad did not write this song for Beyoncé. Toby and young artist BC Jean were writing songs together for Jeans debut album. Jean recorded a demo however it was rejected by the label. After Jean’s record deal fell through Gad marketed the songs they had written together to established artists. Beyoncé liked If I Were A Boy so she decided to record it. She co produced it with Gad.

This cover is glorious, it lets her voice absolutely shine. Thanks to Toby for asking her to sing this reinvented cover of his song for his Piano Diaries album. Toby is quoted saying, “Working with Angelina has been nothing short of inspiring. Her ability to channel profound emotion through her voice adds a whole new depth to the song.” They are also working on other songs for AJ. This will be huge for her. This year will absolutely launch Angelina to the general public. She has arrived.

Great reaction, my friend. I see that quite a few of her fans have told you the reason why she ALWAYS performs barefoot already, so I don't have to 🤣 Angelina and Toby have written at least ONE original together already, which will release in a couple of months, called "Bad Valentine". Toby is an amazing song writer, and back in 2014 is was ranked the world's 3rd most successful song writer. I think the two can really elevate her career together. Thank you for your reaction. You still don't know why Angelina performs bare foot? She don't have blue eyes but beautiful soulful brown eyes. Watch her videos when she was 14 and younger. The blue color, been artificial, seems actually without any soul.

Absolutely phenomenal performance from this musical genius, who is this person Beyoncé ? This is Angelina’s song now, the reason Angelina never wears shoes is nothing to do with comfort or being grounded,she hasn’t worn shoes in any of her performances and has stayed true to her word, checkout the real reason why? Angelina's natural eye color is a very warm brown. She wears blue contact lenses. And, as you will find out, Angelina sings barefoot for humanitarian reasons completely unrelated to her own comfort.
