I would say by the age of 12 she was on a level with the greatest singers there have ever been.... and for me she is the one I want to listen to more than any other. This wasn't a festival it was her very own concert... all to support the military band I think (recorded on her album Magic )

What you may find is that Angelina often gives a performance live, like this one, that is better than her studio performance! She has studies many great artists from the past, she has the James Brown Gold album where she would have listened to this song. I feel that Angelina inherits her passion from her grandma, she really takes hold of this song and gives it new life, helped by the friendly contest with the first clarinet. The conductor was taken by surprise with the belts at the end - he never experienced that in the rehearsals!

Alex, After hearing this performance, I stopped referring to her as AJ or Angie. I only refer to her as Ms. Jordan, out of pure damn respect. This a fearless child in music. And at 17 years, she still is a kid. What do we have to look forward to in the future? I'm praying that I live long enough to find out. Rb

Most other singers would have been bathing in sweat and making lot's of effort to even be able to sing this song. An here we see a 12 year old taking it on with ease and comfort as if she is just talking.... That, to me, makes it even more impressive. No, not effortless: there are many rehearsal video's from Angelina and that proofs she puts very, very, much work and effort in every song to get it as she wants it to be. And why? Because it is her passion to do it.

It would be so cool if in the future, in between the 2-3 year cycle of original albums, she does some themed, mostly cover albums. This one should be Track 1 on Angelina : Soul. She could add in a few other James Brown tracks, some Aretha Franklin, cover a few Ray Charles hits. It would be epic, given her ability AT 12, notwithstanding she will be older then and somehow, impossibly, just keeps getting better.

The Staff Band of the Norwegian Armed Forces (Forsvarets stabsmusikkorps) recorded the album "It's Magic" with 16 tracks in 2017/18 to mark the 200th anniversary and released it under their record label Forsvarets Musikk. Because of the special anniversary, they asked Angelina (Angelina was 11y) to do the vocals on the album. As a special tribute to Angelina, two originals by Angelina were also released on the album. On June 16, 2018, for the official celebrations and tribute to the orchestra, there was this spectacular concert "It's Magic' with many prominent guests including the Prime Minister at the time, Erna Solberg. 👣💯 *AJ* 💯👣

It comes naturally to her because she’s been listening intently to music, especially jazz, since she was three years old. Definitely not something that would come naturally to the vast majority of us! She was definitely born to sing and I thank my lucky stars I’m still here at seventy years old to get totally absorbed in her music whatever she sings!

For all the crappy iPhone audio, she still staggers. And the conductor - soooo familiar with her (he's done a large number of performances) - is still rocked backward at the climax. Like a boxer that has been knocked backward, and he has to step back, catch himself and shake his head, "How can she possibly catch me off-guard?" But she did it.
