Hi Johnny. Thank you for this "mini-concert". Sorry you found elements of the video of "Million Years Ago" distracting; elements that actually make her more endearing to the vast majority of Angels. You must understand that these sessions with Ivan were not by any stretch of the imagination meant to be professional or formal video recordings. They were completely informal, basically impromptu, unrehearsed and done mostly in one take, essentially Angelina honing her craft. Some of the songs they may have been familiar with beforehand, others they just decided to try out, hence you see her reading the lyrics in many of them. With absolutely no audio or studio enhancements, in some room in a house, and while reading the lyrics, she is able to nevertheless deliver the maximum emotion from the song, and produce absolute beauty. Her uniquely rich tone, her ability to seamlessly move from low to high register, her complete control of her vibrato, all effortlessly delivered while singing a song she didn't really know well. Ivan also mentioned that the beauty of her voice and singing, right next to him, made it difficult to focus on his playing. Really happy that you still enjoyed and appreciated the performance. Oh, btw, sorry, but it's a beautiful 77 degrees here in Trinidad 😊.
