Angelina was fourteen years old when she wrote this homage to her deceased grandfather. She signed with Republic Records in August of 2020 and “Million Miles” is her debut single. Another great reaction to & appreciation of this original masterpiece performance by Angelina. You definitely need to check out her AGT audition with her reinterpretation of Bohemian Rhapsody. And - I still highly recommend all 4 of her NGT performances (Gloomy Sunday, I'm A Fool To Want You, Bang Bang & Summertime) - at ages 7-8. An observation that I have of the way she performs that gives explanation at least in my opinion for why her singing touches us so deeply is that she completely bares her soul and kind of makes herself vulnerable to scrutiny while singing from her heart without any real worries about anyone thinking ill of her feelings and her message. Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? I grew up in the 60's and 70's and was basically a metal head, still love it along with the classic rock as well and have little use for the mainstream music stuff assaulting my ears these days. Just over 5 years ago I came upon this young girl on YT with the type of talent I had not witnessed in decades, Angelina, and she opened up my mind and my ears to real music for the first time in a long long time. She has brought back classic music and songs I grew up listening to as a child and exposed me to new jazz greats I likely would never have listened to, now I can't get enough. She will sing songs with just a guitar or piano, or backing track, no auto tune, production, mixing etc... and she does not need any of that. Very interesting that you commented about branching out your music world. I grew up in the '70s and all my life have been listening to music from that era. There was a large gap of 20 or 30 years where I didn't listen to much of the music. 5 years ago I stumbled upon Angelina online and quickly bonded with her music and her charitable soul. I begin listening to music that I never paid much attention to and have come to love it when she sings it. I have opened myself up to other artists as well and find that what I enjoy most are young aspiring artists. There are so many talented young kids out there that deserve a break and reactors are the ones that can help them. I have spent the last two years making an effort to inform reaction channels how to fully support their featured artists by educating viewers how to boost their KZbin analytics. Of course the same FREE actions will help your channel as well. Most people have NO idea how to best support you or any content creator on KZbin. The biggest help we can give, is still to purchase their albums and Angelina's "It's Magic" album is available on iTunes and Amazon. Today, I watched "Happier" and "I Have Nothing" (age 13) on Angelina's Cover channel and made sure the LIKE was engaged on each and posted a new comment. I also read some comments and gave a few a LIKE. If every Angelina angel, each day, watched two of her official videos, from her 33 on her Official channel and 30 on her Cover channel, and posted a new comment each time, then KZbin would recommend her to millions more people. Angelina’s nationality is Norwegian, she speaks Norwegian, Japanese, Iranian, and English. Her original grandfather is Japanese, and her grandmother is Iranian. Her father is Swedish. You can see all of these nationalities in her looks. (Just wait till you hear her sing in Japanese! AJ is a composer that has written a number of songs, she also was the youngest writer to publish a book in Norway, she plays the keyboard/piano, guitar, flute, and violin.

Our tiny little girl with the grownup voice was 17 on Jan. 10, 23 and is now 6'1" tall and could be a super model, but I hope the major portion of her career will be dedicated to her music and taking the world to a better place. I don't think she even realizes this power she holds over us and the need to hear that signature voice to fill that empty void within all of us. Angelina Jordan is in fact the "Benchmark" for all other vocalist to try as they might to achieve. I have a number of pictures of celebrities whose height is known, for example, Austin Butler, who played Elvis, is 6ft tall, and AJ published a picture of her standing next to him, she was at least 1 inch taller than him, and she had to look down at him.

Quick correction: Angelina preformed the official lyrics version and this live in studio performance at 14. Both of these were posted in 2020. The third release was the official music video, which was uploaded about a month after she turned 15 in 2021. The official music video includes her little sister, Juliette (8) playing the part of the younger Angelina (AJ was 12 when he passed in 2018). There's a much more recent performance from the summer of 2022, when she sang this live during Norway's annual music festival. She changed up her phrasing, tempo, and style. I appreciate the great reaction! Angelina wrote this in memory and honor of her grandfather who had passed away about a year before. But she said that it's intended to be a song dedicated to everyone who has lost a loved one. Her empathetic heart is one in a billion! You should also listen to her age 12 cover of Elvis' "Always on My Mind" which she dedicated to her other grandfather who passed away in 2015. She sang it just days after the funeral -- have some Kleenex tissues handy for that one!

Just a slight clarification, Angelina was actually 14 years old in the studio performance of Million Miles you reacted to - it was her first release with Republic Records in November of 2020 - Angelina didn't turn 15 until January 10, 2021. Angelina is currently 17 years old.

Angelina's performance on Champions was more of a mini concert for a greater exposure for American people, It has been reported that up front she and her family made it clear she would not sign with Simon's record company and this eliminated her from ever winning; besides the fact that the 'Champions' was a variety type of talents presentation and a magician won first place, This was not a fair competition for her gifted talents to compete in. The exposure she got made her the winner . Champions needed her appearance more than Angelina needed them, She was already a well known super talent in most countries around the world. This performance for Simon was one of Angelina's stated goals and desires as a three year old little girl. Angelina has pretty much achieved all of her goals as a little girl and she is destined to do even more than she has ever dreamed of. .

Angelina appearing on AGT The Champions, was basically a guest appearance, not as a contestant. Here's a excerpt from an interview with Michael Astar, Angelina's Uncle and Manager, with "Music Norway": AGT (America Got Talent) had always been interested in bringing Angelina to the show, but with their normal contract, artists are being locked into a label, management, and other things for many years. Astar says that it didn’t matter if you get exposure or not, it was out of question to give away that right. “Some time passed and they again contacted me, asking if she wanted to sing on their show. I convinced them to give me a contract where Angelina is free from any deal if she performs, she is great for their TV show and Angelina will get the exposure she needs to breakthrough, because I knew, the talent is one of the kind like no other, I just needed her to be seen and was on a daily hunt for how to get the right spot for her in the USA.”

@@dianagraham7663 I appreciate your thanks. So many people get bent out of shape when their claims are corrected.....Here's my opinion: Singers are rarely favoured on AGT. What often appears to be crucial to the "judges" is a heart-wrenching backstory. Tyler Butler Figeroa, the young violinist who came in third, had won his battle with leukemia, but his playing was nothing particularly special. Remember, AGT is a reality show. It's not actually a barometer for determining otherworldly talents like Angelina.

AJ was not able to complete the AGT competition because of political reasons in not signing contracts or being available for additional AGT appointments,, this was known before she even went in,, Simon wanted her on the show because he know who she was and AJs family wanted her on the show to get American publicity so both partys decided to have her on the show. There was a lot of noise made at AGT when she "didn't win" but in hundreds sight she did win .. she signed on with Republic records in less that a year later with all her family's restrictions met, they insisted she would finishing her schooling with a minimal recording schedule and only her choice of concerts until she graduated,, she will be finishing school this summer and there is already an album ready to drop when that happens,,

there is a very interesting story about AGT. She was cut in the final 5. They had been wanting her to come on that show ever since she won in Norway at the age of 7. Her uncle has always been her manager. They kept turning down the offer to come on the show. If you make it after the final 5 you must agree to sign up with Simon who controls everything about their lives. The show agreed to not hold her to a contract with Simon. So she goes on. Once Simon heard her they totally backed out of their agreement they had made with them so they walked away. Probably one of the best decisions they ever made. Her parents are very strict with her, you will see she changes words in songs, she is not allowed to be a full time singer still after she graduates. She is signed but they agreed that Angelina and her family will make their own decisions. She is very close with her family. Her grandmother is a very famous artist. Together they have always designed and made all of her clothing. Her parents are so level headed. They don't try to live life through her, they guide and allow her to lived her own life. It's not about fame and money for them. Wow!

AGT (You ask why she did not win on AGT in 2020) First, and foremost; Angelina was not on that show to win. This was quite simply to promote and expose the US public to this prodigy that comes along maybe once in a generation. To win, AJ’s family would have had to sign a contract with Simon, and he would have been in control of her future. Her family would not allow that to happen. It was not question of money offered because AJ was already worth 2 to 3 million at the age of 13, and her family are very wealthy. I am sure America’s Got Talent was paid well by her production company Stargate, the hitmaking duo (Beyonce, Rihanna, Sam Smith). David Foster tried to sign her in the past after she won Norway's Got Talent, but the family did not like the contract. She is like nothing we have ever experienced.

A couple of remarks about your comments, which again I must emphasize how impressed I am with your actually doing research, unlike so many other people that do reaction videos, but her AGT performance was on the Champions episode and she surely should have won especially since it's suspicious that they showcased her singing along with the lady doing stand art and the Asian boy playing violin, a performance that she carried and her singing was actually better than the Bohemian Rhapsody version quite possibly. Also, Adele wouldn't let her come on tour with her because she would just completely upstage her. If you haven't already, go watch Angelina do her rendering of Adele's song All I Ask, co-written with Bruno Mars. I kind of feel bad for Adele after Angelina sings one of her songs because Adele has to face singing it again certainly inferior to Angelina's versions.

I think that AGT etc. basically contract the hell out of the artist, sucking everything they can like some kind of Hollyweird vampire. From what I read, Angelina's family wouldn't let that happen.
