In deed, how does she do it? I have resigned and come to accept that she does and I just sit back and enjoy the fruits of her labour.💞

It's not just that she is a good singer or that she has a great voice, it's how she can seemingly sing anything in any style that sets her apart. She totally changes how she sings for different songs. Not just tone, but inflection and even period styles and language. It's completely unique to her.

Just 11 years old when this album was recorded. Angelina is able to take this classic song and bring it to life in a way I had not heard it before. You are so right... she does not "mimic" anything. She takes techniques that she has picked up from many different artists, and uses them in a perfect way to convey the emotion of the song.

This song is by Charles Aznavour (written originally in French) and describes nostalgia...Angelina does the song justice for sure!

This is not my "cup of tea" normally, but it is so facinating to see and hear (and feel) what she does with each piece of music she takes on. I'm a trained vocal coach (not a traditional one, but still) ANGELina has this unique ability to EMINATE the sound. In example most classical trained singers project the sound, and it's often feels sharp. A really gifted singer doesn't have to belt out and show off. He or she is the sound and like the sun they eminate rays of SoundShine ( X) ) It often seems like ANGELina enters an alternate state, she and the sound becomes one, and she eminates fields of emotions. AS said hundreds of times, she connects with the heart and soul of the music piece, and eminates it to the listener. From one

Her breath control is simply amazing! Long uninterrupted lyrics that have to be sung without breaking for a breath. A husky, haunting voice conveying sadness and longing. And an 11-year old beautiful girl doing all these! Absolutely incredible!

I know that this performance was better than I can comprehend. Way over my head. I'd be curious to know how Angelina came by this song. In fact I'd love to know how she goes about choosing a song to invest the effort to learn and record.

Wonderful reaction! Old souls will make their depth of experience felt in their art. That's what I think accounts for her surprising depth of feeling. And practice makes perfect. Imagine it -- she's been practicing since she was 1-1/2 with that great gift.

As I have mentioned in previous posts, I have been following her since her audition for the voice of Norway which she did win at the age of 7 years. I too have long given up on trying to explain what she does and how she does it. In addition to the pure pleasure she affords me when singing, her ability to transform from child to pure professional and then just as quickly back to a child is fascinating. Still anxiously awaiting your reaction to "STAY".

It's as if she can tap into the soul of any song, that's why I think each song comes through perfectly as if she knew the intention of the composer in her heart.

I guess logic would dictate that eventually Angelina will sing a song in every language spoken throughout the world. She's already sung Japanese in Japan to honor her grandfather so if she does one a day for a year we can add up about 365 to start with.

Hi there. I am really grateful for this reaction because it has been a great opportunity to hear one of the best songs by Charles Aznavur. And the rendition by Angelina perfectly incarnates the spirit, the nostalgia, the essence of the lyrics. As I've said before, some of her studio recordings are epic and this is one of them. Maybe you can try another recent studio recording of " I'm a fool to want you" . Just amazing. Cheers and stay safe

Much love from Norway :)

Hi Brian, this is André, this version of bohemia is a marvel, I don't understand English but I feel I don't know how, as if I understood this language with this high-flying interpretation which in addition to 'be superbly realized, it pays a true tribute to Charles Aznavour in a tenderness that is dear to him (in all his covers) say hello to Stan, if I understood correctly (my school English is not the best in the world) he is working, big kisses to you two, and to the others of course, and to each one in particular, from the south of France. (I don't have the direct translation on my laptop, sorry bye bye

I don't particularly care for the song, but the fact that Angelina can get through all those words, reading them as she sings, is impressive. I'm a 50-year-old native English speaker, and I couldn't do that. (I know, because I've tried to sing along with her on this one. *Not* pretty.) You can hear what she actually sounded like in the recording booth in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mWrJiaJurauqbbM This shows that she is not, in fact, perfect. [wink] She makes some mistakes, and struggles a bit to "keep up" in some places - and she occasionally sounds like she's reading. (You know, everything you would expect from a normal human.) I wonder how many takes it took to get the final product… See also the later live performance kzbin.info/www/bejne/mWOZoGiYmNZ7itE where she's still referring to the lyrics, but not nearly as much. No mistakes in that one, AFAIR.
