It's been said that when working with musicians, Angelina is affectionately referred to as, "The Boss."

Every time I watch this one, I am still amazed that a 10 year old can be in that company and not only be considered an equal in talent, but also in control. I'm sure it must be that way at other times, but this one makes it so clear.

This is a great look into the behind the scenes work with Angelina. She is able to fit right in with a bunch of grown musicians and look like she's right at home and in control. It really shows how she is not just someone being coached how to do it. She knows how she wants it sound and she is working with the band to get it there. ...a true musician and artist ...at 8/9 years old. BTW: If you check out more of her behind the scenes and rehearsal stuff, you will come to recognize this camera work ;) I for one am just grateful that her grandmother took the time to capture and post so many videos that document her growth over the years. Unorthodox style of shooting or not.... This is invaluable footage IMO.

Rusty. I will forever be grateful to her Grandmother for documenting her growth and life. I am sure she knows that this is history that will be used by many to document Angelina’s life and beyond. Many books and documentaries will be produced for generations to come. I am just seeing the beginnings and wish I were young enough to follow the years to come but it cannot be which saddens me at times, but I will take what she has given me and will only grumble a little when I have to go. Keep filming Grandma you are creating an epic in more ways than one.

She’s been directing the band and arranging her own music since she was 8, that by definition is what makes her a prodigy the likes of Mozart.

this is a sample of what Angelina really is. She is in complete Musical control of what is going on in that room. Her brain must be running 3 times faster than ours. On that chair to the left was her beautiful mother.

Hey Brian and Stan! I'd like to point out that Angelina's maternal grandmother, Mery, has had her cell phone in Angelina's face practically since she was born. She has countless hours of Angelina singing and not singing, and also has her own channel with over 40k subs called AngelinJordanFanclubMosarz. I realize the vid is a bit shaky, but let's give credit to grandmother who brings us footage we may otherwise not ever see. This is a practice session and AJ is quite young here. Keep up the awesome reactions, but keep in mind, much of it is just a little girl singing and grandma with a phone.

It's not simply confidence, It's CLARITY. She knows exactly what she is going for, she isn't feeling around for a sound, it's complete and there's no uncertainty, it seems to me that the entire sound comes to her mind as spontaneously as words do for the rest of us.

Excellent reaction Stan and Brian. This video is beautiful because it makes clear what Angelina isn't only a singer (also incredible for age) but understands, evaluates, adapts and modifies the songs based on her beliefs (since she was 6 years old!) And creates something unique, with her splendid brand and is perfectly capable of interacting and directing the adult people of the band. We are lucky that Angelina and her family are not afraid of making public the human and artistic path of this wonderful little girl. Angelina appreciates and evaluates what she is told, but the choice of songs and adaptations has always been hers, even if she was very young, behind her shyness there is an absolutely decisive character.

Anyone able to remember filming while witnessing when this genius starts that magic musicbox of hers, deserves nothing but gratitude. I usually listen to AJA YT-videos audio only, so never get seasick no matter how much the camera person is shaking. Great, theese behind the scenes peaks. Watching along as AJA evolves and advances into greatness.

Angelina has a wonderful voice and passion for music and to day she must be one of the best jazz artist in the world. The best singer is an harder challeng and will always be a mather of taste. Even in Norway she has to compete whit some fantastic singer and for most the Queen is SISSEL. Sissel is one of the best female sopranos in the world ( if not the best ) and is and has been called "The national treasure of Norway" for 3 decades. If you want to hear her try Sissel singing "Slow down whit the Tabernacle Choir". BTW she is the hounting voice in the movie Titanic.

Thank you for this reaction. On this occasion, Angelina has adapted Screamin' Jay Hawkins song "Portrait of a man" and done it very well. It is good tosee therespect that Angelina has for the musicians and the respect that have for her. She is is not "pushy" but just quietly, with a smile, tells them what she want.

Something many overlook is that english isn't even her first language and she does a really good job with it especially considering her age on the vids you have seen. She has no english speaking (first language) relatives either. You guys still have yet to hear many of her best ones so keep hanging on. You only have about a bazillion of them to go.
@charlessmith1092
@charlessmith1092 4 жыл бұрын
Your are correct on both accounts, but these guys are aware of that fact. However, it is a carefully guarded secret that her fluency in English is the result of Angelina hanging out in California malls since a very early age. Here's incontroveritable evidence: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d2PRpnx3ptF4mrM

@@charlessmith1092 A super cute video, to be sure, but she doesn't speak in it. We should give them actual evidence of her English skills at a young age. Here she is at 5, giving someone a room tour: kzbin.info/www/bejne/moGtfWmrZ7OYack (I say "someone" because the voice of the woman behind the camera doesn't sound to me like her grandmother's, based on [my memory of] the few videos I've seen where she speaks. It doesn't sound like her mother, either - plus, at one point it sounds like she says, "Which one from Mom? Japanese?", and Angelina picks up a doll that she says is "Japanese". I assume this means her mother gave her a doll that was bought in and/or that she owned in Japan. [The doll itself doesn't appear to be any traditional kind of Japanese doll. It does appear to be somewhat old, though, and the worse for wear.] OTOH, the woman cajoles Angelina into singing, using both English and, I'm pretty sure, Norwegian, which is what you'd expect from a family member. I wonder who it is. …And why the woman seems to get emotional at around 2:50 and suddenly walks away from Angelina. …And whether that man downstairs at 3:13 is Angelina's grandfather. So many questions!) *Anyway* … Angelina is a real motor-mouth in this one. [grin] And she sings Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" a cappella, too, near the beginning (accompanied only by occasional half-hearted strumming and picking on a "not so good" toy guitar). I love it when she comes to the end of the song and says, "That's finished." LOL!! BTW, one more thing: note how her speech is quite "babyish" at the beginning, but as the video goes on, she speaks in a more mature way, especially after she sings. Interesting.

Brian, you ought to recognize that...it's called working out. You do a hell of a lot more of that than even putting to tape. Notice how she was politely telling them how she wants the song....her song to go. I worked worked a board at "The Church" in San Anselmo for Bill Chaplin. And we spent days working it out and listening to takes. That's how it's done. SHE WAS THE BOSS, BUT SHE KNEW HOW TO TALK TO ADULTS.
