The problem with doing Angelina reactions is the fact that there is no human language suitable to describer her. The words simply do not exist. But, in most cases, the lack of words says it all my friend.
@davidcochran62914 жыл бұрын
I found a word 50+ years ago when I had to write a paper. I had just seen an event in nature that words were totally inadequate to describe what I'd seen. The word I found was numinous.It assigns a spiritual mysteriousness to the event. An event that has to be seen to understand and cannot be relayed to another's brain with words or examples. It is a stand alone event, that may never be seen or duplicated. Unless God will's it. I think that pretty much covers the Angelina experience.

There is another reactor Gitana Adele who had a shirt made that simply states “ You Know “ because she has no words to describe Angelina. Just a 12 year old and her keyboard... creating pure magic. There are many covers of this song out there, but I'm not sure any capture the intent of the original artist as well as Angelina was able to do here. It's just so hard to believe someone so young could have this kind of understanding of music and its connection to emotion. It's just like you said, "if you want to feel something, listen to Angelina Jordan" It doesn't wear off either. I have heard all these songs from her hundreds of times, and I still feel them every single time.
@philgaringer90654 жыл бұрын
That one phrase says it all -- "Just a 12 year old and her keyboard..." It is very rare to hear a seasoned professional artist put as much gut-wrenching emotion into a song as this "12 year old and her keyboard". She is a once in a lifetime artist. I can't wait for her to start producing albums with her own songs and compositions on them.

Rusty, I take it you're not into Heavy Metal . I find Angelina one of the finest Weavers I've ever come across. She uses the words & music as the warp & weft, and this is what catches everybody in their heart & soul. I'm a newbe...ish to Angelina. I came across her at AGT, and that was by chance. Now I find myself watching reactors trying to come to terms with such a phenomenon as we are witnessing. I'm 72, and have never heard anything like Angelina in all those years, and at the moment I'm rather drunk on my favourite tipple, Hart's Breath, (Half Mead, half Whisky). In my view, Angelina can grasp the core emotional content of a song, then tell it as a story in song...in the most effective way. She usually strips the music down to the simplest form to highlight that emotional core...in every word and phrase. Sometimes the core emotions are pretty raw...not easily taken in. She does this almost instinctively...and as an adult, I am flummoxed when she does. This song is a good example...all I can do is go along for the ride...😧

You didn't say much, Brian, but the words you chose were straight from the heart. This came from an IG post by her superfan grandmother..actually two posts. One has 30 seconds of Mery's phone audio and video and then switches to the good mic and cute but distracting photos of Angelina from Mery's probable immense supply. In this beautiful video Sune Amtoft sync'd the good audio with the phone video. Isaac wrote a song about obsession but didn't carry much emotion in his video. Angelina's masterful use of phrasing and silence with her emotionally-charged vocals turns it into a lament jam-packed with melancholy. It was evident that she was taking you someplace...some memories half-forgotten? I go there every time I hear it, and I hear it often just before turning in for the night.

She is a force of nature in quiet, like an atomic bomb when you first see the bright light and everything goes silent for a split second the it engulfs you and tears the skin off your bones. That's how I feel with a lot of Angelina's songs. I've seen other reactors and their commentors, and a lot of them comment on the slow, dirge-like pace and I'm going, ' are you listening to this'?? I can't believe we are listening to the same song.

Thanks for the reaction, Brian. There is so many things to say about this interpretation by Angelina and so little words to express what it makes one feel! First of all, what amazes me is her ability to impress such emotion on a song being so young. The way the she sings "I don't wana fall in love", just scraping the note and not going full on, is haunting in itself. She has an innate sense of listening to a song, and "seeing" it through a totally different light that anybody else, and there she goes, strait into HER interpretation of how to sing it.
