I watched a video of a duet of Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong singing Cheek to Cheek. As great as they were I think that Angelina's performance is more heavenly.

It is amazing to watch her work. I noticed the 'glambers' when she sang it, so I was wondering if she caught it. ...of course she did. When I saw her underline the word on the sheet, I knew she had caught it.... and then she clears up any doubt at the end. ….but what really shows her professionalism, is that she knew it immediately and still didn't miss a beat. These behind the scenes videos are so great for anyone that is a fan of Angelina. I am so glad that you are sharing these

The band and conductor (at 3.30) seem to be Forsvarets Stabsmusikkorps (Norwegian Armed Forces Band) with whom AJ often performs. They have adopted a national treasure!

I assume this is from the recording for the 2018 CD. I think this is the only project (although a quite big one) Angelina has done with this orcestra, beside their one releasconsert in june 2018. But anyhow; great work and a very good result. I love this song, and the CD.

Jollyo the Norwegian Armed Forces band doesn’t do justice for AJ. It’s very heavy handed, loud and brash. It swamps AJ’s delicate vocals. She would be better served by more sympathetic backing either a smaller combo or a lighter accompaniment.

@@davidlang1125 I agree with you but it must be difficult for the players in a a military band to get their heads around that they are accompanying a young singer, instead of entertaining a large crowd. However, having written that, it is also difficult for me to understand why the conductor doesn't do something about it. He is in charge of his musicians.

@@davidlang1125 I agree that this is not the optimal musical surroundings for Angelinas great art. I don`t think this orcestra play that much jazz, but as it is, I stand by what I said; I think they did quite good whith Angelina, but no doubt, I prefer Angelina as she has a smaller proper jazzband backing her singing. Anyway, if it is what I think, it was a great and nice thing that they invited Angelina in on their 200 years celebration record project, and buildt it up around her like this. A nice gift both to them selves and to Angelina as I don`t think she was ready yet to sign anny record label. She was given a chanse to still make a record with no further commitments. As I have commented before, the record is growing on me and I like it better all the time. And I love Angelinas great voice and performans on this CD. It is as it sayes: IT`S MAGIC.BUT; - I`m quite shure, her next record will be even better.

The accompanying music is too muted to make this a full-blown performance but, on the flip side, it is allows us to isolate and enjoy Angelina's voice without the musical instruments obstructing it. Especially endearing is the tail end of this video where Angelina is familiarly interacting with the band leader, suggesting some improvements - no wonder her bands fondly call her "the boss"
