Some background on the Event: As you may know, Angelina's grandma Mery Zamani is her greatest inspiration and is Iranian. This Nobel ceremony is to honor Narges Mohammadi who is currently serving a 31 year prison sentence for supporting human rights in Iran. Accepting the award are her two children, who have not seen her in 9 years. The song was purposeful in that it was in a 1955 movie called Unchained, where it is about a man imprisoned longing for his love ones. Angelina has performed Unchained many times since the age of 8, but this is the most reverent rendition by far. Angelina is facing Narges' children singing " I'll be coming home, wait for me". This is a tremendous honor for Angelina, and Angelina thanked the orchestra for trusting her in the Arrangement. Thank you and Happy Birthday Alison.

John Gary vs Angelina Jordan Unchained Melody One of the most memorable experiences of my life was seeing John Gary perform live in Seattle, WA, when I was 20 years old. He had such a powerful and beautiful voice that filled the whole auditorium. It was a sublime moment that I shared with my wife, and I felt like we were the only ones in the room. The ability this girl has to captivate and move the people who listen to her is absolutely incredible, as is her sensitivity in choosing and interpreting the song for this ceremony. Alison, what is impossible to understand is no matter how strongly we feel after listening to one of her performances, something that we believe is the best thing she's ever done, that phrase will be used over and over and over again. When I learned the story of Narges Mohammadi, this years recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, and the history of the song "Unchained Melody", I fully understood why Angelina Jordan chose this song. It can't be understated that this song is VERY popular, therefore Angelina's performance will be listened to by more people. We need to be sure as many as people as possible will learn about Narges Mohammadi. Angelina paid tribute to Narges, who was on a hunger strike, at the time of this performance, while imprisoned in Iran, for being an activist for women's rights. Her two twin children, who are 17, spoke on her behalf at this event. The more people who are aware and call for change, the more likely the leaders of Iran will set her free. Acts of kindness, is what Angelina always reminds us to do.

Absolutely phenomenal performance from our Queen of Jazz and soul, Angelina is so honoured and proud to be performing at the Nobel Peace Prize award in her own country Norway with the Norwegian Kork orchestra, this is the second time Angelina has performed at this event, the last time Angelina performed at the Nobel Peace prize was in 2014 where Angelina was around 8 years old singing ( What A Wonderful World),Angelina has collaborated with the Norwegian Kork orchestra on several occasions, once when Angelina was 10 years ago with her arrangement of ( Back To Black) and with her arrangement of ( Summertime), Angelina has a live concert in Las Vegas on the 29th February, I’m travelling from the United Kingdom to attend the performance, cannot wait to see Angelina live again, great reaction thanks!!
