Awww Baby Gelya in Rio 2016 has grown and improved so much. From winning silver with the Team in Rio, she now has three Olympic medals from Tokyo (Team, Individual All-Around, and Floor). I am so happy for her!

@gym fan- tastic I mean that she stopped doing that combo because the double L turn + Y turn that she does here no longers gets connection value, so she upgraded her double wolf to a triple and then added the double reverse turn after the double L, so that way the bonus stays the same. A triple L turn is way harder than a triple wolf turn, if you want an explanation of why she organized it that way.

@gym fan- tastic Yeah, and most gymnasts who transitioned from one quadrennium to the other have done that. As an example, Simone Biles was fulfilling her front tumbling compositional requirement with an aerial, which is no longer accepted in the 2017-20 cop. As a result, nowadays you can see her doing a layout full step out into a full-in. Another example is how tumbling in both directions has disappeared completely from balance beam: you won't see aerials connected together because they no longer give connection value.
