The sax solo is played by Al Regni, a veteran of Broadway, NY opera, and the studio scene. He played on the original Broadway cast album of West Side Story. I got to meet him at his home in north Jersey and had a couple of music lessons with him.

This music is made of what dreams are made of. Rest in Peace Angelo Badalamenti. It feels empty now that the music in the air has stopped. He will truly be missed and his passion will forever be missed. No music has ever touched me the way his music has.

The clarinets and the flange used on the synthesizer at the end of the song add a dark, eery feel and presence to the track. It is my favourite song on the soundtrack.

they mention in the movie that the good agent cooper is stuck in the black lodge....the black lodge surpasses time and space so mabe the good agent cooper still had a chance to come back to normal and get rid of Bob... but they never cleared any of that up and just ended it. almost like they shoulda made a 2nd movie. but i guess that's how Lynch wanted it to end. cuz he's a weirdo lol

It's perspective. Lynch originally filmed part of Somerset House in London as the Victorian London Hospital in 'Elephant Man' there is a real marble floor like this there (they were going to cover it for filming but he fell in love, annoyed the sound people due to clatter of shoes on marble), since then he has created this floor in most of his films. I've seen the real one and it is weird, you either don't notice it at all or you can't help but view it from all the angles.
