My favorite part of the video is tapping. It's awesome. Of course, the whole video is also good, but tapping (after applying some shoe polish) is a balm for my ears. Thank you!

Truly outstanding video, absolutely love the tapping and chisel bits. Since I started watching it just after 11am, i didn't want to go to sleep as i wanted to enjoy the asmr. Had to keep winding it back as I was doing a good impression of my dog whose fast asleep and snoring at my feet!! Many thanks Angelo and Jr, please keep up the great work.

A railroad spike!!! OMG, I haven't seen one of these used for burnishing top soles since my great grandfather was alive!! What an unexpected throwback! He grew up in a railroad town during the depression. Back then, you had to use what you had (and these spikes were everywhere for free) to accomplish what you needed. I haven't seen this technique in 45 years and never thought I would again. Now THAT'S keeping a tradition alive! However, he didn't ever use it to scrape or apply saddle soap. This requires a practiced hand or you'd scrape the snot out of your shoes!

He's just removing the old wax/polish build up. The grain side of the leather is tough and the tool isn't sharp enough to cut into it. It's totally fine.

I’m sorry to say that I have compared your technique to others that also clean and shine shoes. You consistently mis spots that others consistently do not. Like the tongue, lifting up the part of the shoe where the laces go to clean and polish to mention just a few. I liked watching but it’s to frustrating watching every time you miss so many places on peoples shoes For instance I watch the guys and girls in New York City when someone goes into their shop. They do an incredible professional job and miss no part of a shoe. I watch the shoe shiners in Mexico they too do and excellent job and cover every part of a shoe or boot. I watch shoe cobblers repair and make shoe that look awful look better than when they left the factory. They use sandpaper and other cleaners and tools but none of these shoe shine business and cobblers use chisels and axes. I do not understand the use of these tools especially when none of these other professionals use such tools that are used in a metal shop or for chopping down trees. Ricky from IBM
