Well, there's a coincidence... Just played my wife the video of Σ'Όποιον Αρέσω by Καίτη Γαρμπή - my current favourite song: 'What did she say?' 'She's had enough of what I'm saying, she's tired of my excuses, if she goes back it'll be the same again, she puts others' needs above her own but never again...and it's the same for me'. 'Oh...I like it, I just wanted it to be a bit more...happy?' Angelo is a genius, he's pointed out the hidden joy in the best music - the twist in the sentiment. And we do LOVE Greek music. Mostly, we love having (and are blessed to have) so many wonderful Greeks in our lives, our hearts, our family. Also, the warm, friendly and supportive replies from other KZbinrs have made a massive difference in difficult times - Angelo, and your many fans and viewers, you are all amazing. Ευχαριστώ πολύ!

Greeks have a way to exorcise bad feelings by singing about them. The lyrics are really terrible but the music is happy, to make you relive bad memories but take strength from music, good company, alcohol, singing and dancing. A perfect example is Natassa Theodoridou's Ena spiti kaigetai. It talks about a really bad breakup but the music is happy like a love song. So as you sing and dance you relive those bad memories but in a much safer environment, surrounded by music and friends, so that makes you stronger to face those feelings and cleanse yourself from sorrow and move on
