Tom after years of self analyzing in a blink interview stated one of the reasons he quit blink twice and focused on AVA and bxr was because he felt like a fraud and had self doubt if he really was a good song writer on. In blink he could and did rely Travis, mark even Scott with Jerry fin, to help polish and improve his songs. They were so good, he instinctually wrote songs and ideas that he knew mark and Travis would make better and figure out. He wanted to see if he could write great songs on his own. He also instinctively writes songs that mark would either sing the chorus or verse or set the melody to this day and Ava was him breaking out of that habit

one of the reasons tom left blink was self doubt about being a songwriter. in blink he knew he could rely on travis and mark to make his ideas great or if he got stuck. as a songwriter he still writes songs instinctually for mark to sing or for mark to tweak and write the bass part. so its not shocking a lot of ava songs fit marks voice or if you play the bass track like how mark would or how mark would write the chorus then you end up with a better song. same for plus 44 and skiba blink. granted skiba was kinda limited with his writing because he had to play and write like tom, skiba is basically the same as tom but he uses the minor scale and tom uses the major. if you change the scale of blink or ak3 songs they sound like the other band. skiba shines using the minor scale and writing faster and darker songs but he kept that for the trio because that his baby and his priority and him and blink didn't want blink to do trio songs because skiba and trio where doing them a favor putting alk trio on hold so matt could fill in for tom. also, they paid matt a lot and i'm sure they paid the trio for taking time off.

@@justinTime077 they paid skiba a salary for just being in band annual, then an amount based on the record profits and tour profits and merch....tom kept his ownership and made money the entire time. the transactions are all through various lllcs and corps so like they don't pay anyone directly....an llc pays and llc which pays an llc....so they paid skiba's llc which i'm sure allocated funds to alkane trio llc....part of his payment factored in costs (lost funds from ak3 not touring or recording) . i don't think the other members got a lot but there had to be some sort of plane and compensation for skiba not doing ak3 for like 5 years. Its for tax purposes and their accountants know how to use debt and when to spend money. matt was never like a member of blink llc, he never became an owner, he was a contractor they paid....how royalties and revenue and song credits went idk...i do know tom was still getting paid the entire time because he owns a third of blink llc. so any profits blink llc made he got a share, now if he let mark and travis take mroe then their share idk...probably but he still ownership and authority and ownership in the decision making and a say in what they could and could not do. tom i don't believe exercised that because he was not a complete dick but he got paid and two he could comeback and rejoin blink whenever he choose, now if mark and travis cooperated with that idk but based on contracts i believe they would have to record and tour with tom whenever he came back or if they refused tom could likewise have others fill in. tom never really planned on or was serious about doing that but when he was angry about being kicked out he vented and stated all that and there was a point out of spite he was thinking abouit it. i do know he selected skiba and was the one who made the call for skiba to join, tom was on record saying he would only let skiba join the band in his place...he would not let anyone else. did blink llc pay ak3 trio, no not directly, when skiba's management was negiating the deal and contract with blink i'm sure they had to cut a deal with alkine trio llc and the other's management which probably including if they could do side projects and use ak3 songs and matts songs and matt had to probably pay alk3 for his absense due to lost revenue...due to california tax laws and federal tax laws...i'm sure his accountants worked it out so that he paid alk3 the money that would be lost to taxes due to being in a higher bracket and using it as a business expense. they probably also worked out that matt's blink albums counted as ak3 albums with the label to fullfill their obligations. like during tom's divorce and before, his team was still working with mark and travis legal team to argue and win claiming all ava's albums, pluss 44, dog eating dogs, transplants and travis's side projects counted as blink albums thus fullfilling their contract. that was another reason tom quit but like blink llc did not fold because mark, travis, tom were not happy about the contract they had and knew that blink was going to be bigger and at this stage in their careers they are getting rolling stone money and they did not want the record labels getting the money that should be theirs

Oh wow, this actually sounds really good! Though the lyrical context doesn’t make sense because Mark is singing about Tom’s life as if it was his, therefore the lyrics would have to be changed from first person to third person.
