I never paid attention to how well or not well received angels and airwaves was but I remember being 16 in my bed, getting ready to listen to them for the very first time. I threw my ipod together, laid in my bed in a pitch black room, pumped the volume up, and listened to the entire album. I went on a trip, I'll say that much.

Always going to be a timeless classic to me. the first night I heard it after it leaked, I was instantly sent to another world, with grand landscapes and star-filled skies. I was going through a difficult time back then, and the instant I heard this song,I closed my eyes and sobbed uncontrollably, but I felt something in me starting to heal. Tom, I listened to this song on my long daily commute to a desk job some years ago. I cried because I knew the it was about someone living their dream, not me. @@justwiln Wow, perfect timing and thank you for asking. The process dragged out much longer than I would have ever imagined. It went on so long that the high paying job I left offered me a six figure salary to come back (I'm great friends with them and they are good people, so they knew what was going on). I felt like the universe was making me chose between money and happiness again (I have a family, can't deny economic mobility at a certain point). Took a leap of faith with my wife's support and said no but thank you to the offer. I'm beyond happy to report that on May 17th I will officially have the title of Director at the place I love to work! Going to give them a hard time about what took so long, but I feel like I'm home where I need to be so it's all good. :)
