40 here. Spent the last year learning and taking in how many of my friends and family were terrified I wouldn't live to see it, especially after how much worse I became in the latter half of my thirties, but seeing that age of 40 approaching and just looking at myself and who I had become, I guess it was the spark I needed and was finally able to turn it around, and started my 40's on the highest note ever, rather than just high. I don't think he completely does. But how could he not?
@punkgrl3253 жыл бұрын
He does, and I think more people need to understand the guy is more than just a part of Blink182; he's his own person. If he wants to do crazy CIA stuff and make various media projects with AVA, then people should be happy he's finally happy doing things he actually likes. Honestly, Blink is just stagnant at this point and I now see what he was talking about. The moment he tried to progress the band into new territory with Neighborhoods and Dogs Eating Dogs, he got endless shit for it. Dude was also almost always drunk at the reunion-era shows. Why remain in such a negative and toxic situation with band members that never fully forgave him and are no longer all that close, when he can create new, inspiring music on a smaller scale with AVA and fans can still see him at their shows. Most people don't stick with their high school band their entire lives either. At any rate, I highly recommend checking out the Tom Delonge Pursuit of Tone documentary. It gives a lot of insight into where Tom is now and how much leaving Blink actually helped him grow as a musician and as a person.

I want to have the same last dream again, The one where I wake up and I'm alive. Just as the four walls close me within, My eyes are woken up with pure sunlight. I'm the first to know. My dearest friends, Even if your hope has burned with time, Anything that's dead shall be re-grown. And your vicious pain, your warning sign, You will be fine. Hey Ohh, here I am And here we go, life's waiting to begin. Any type of love, it will be shown, Like every single tree reached for the sky. If you're gonna fall, I'll let you know That I will pick you up, like you for I. I felt this thing, I can't replace, Where everyone was working for this goal. Where all the children left without a trace, Only to come back, as pure as gold, To recite this all? Hey ohh, here I am And here we go, life's waiting to begin, Tonight. I remember when this song was released I was in 5th grade in the cafeteria, and made a mention to my friend about how Blink 182 just broke up... Yes I even kept up with that shit when i was 10 years old I just can't believe how 10 years in future (now 20) is COMPLETELY different. We will no longer EVER... and I mean EVER hear music like the 2000-2009 generation. This song is a huge flashback and I just got hit with nostalgia on how fast everything in life had just flew by, as if I grew up and became a completely different person than I once was If I had to do it all over again, I probably would, but I would definitely change some of the things I did. And that's why the past exists guys, it's there to help guide you into your future, not determine what kind of person you will become. Life's waiting to begin
