I don't know how anyone could hear this and NOT know immediately it's Tom Delonge original co lead vocalist and guitarist for blink 182. His voice and guitar playing is so distinct. One of my favorite bands. So underrated!

Their sound engineer “Critter” was far ahead of his time. He unfortunately passed away back In 2012 I believe.

I personally like more AVA than Blink, their music just transports me to a different dimension. Idk, it just feels nostaligic, but at the same time refreshing and meaningful. I just discovered them this past year and I’ve listened to them every single day. Definitely deserve more recognition.

I feel like I can relate. AvA carries a completely different meaning for me than blink does, it’s hard to explain. especially getting older. AvA is so amazing (not that blink isn’t!)

I LOVE this song!! Listen to it every day. I listen to everything from super lyrical rap, hard metal, old RnB and Motown. Favorite band is Deftones. You guys failed to mention the lyric “watch your words spread hope like fire” Along the same lines as the the lyric you brought up about love spreading like violence. Love the groove of AvA and the message of a lot of their songs.

I actually liked it, catchy, 3.5 for me. If this song was on in the background, and I was playing cards or something, I would notice this song. Mostly because of the drums and the heaviness would catch my attention. I definitely would be bopping my head or tapping foot to the beat. I also liked the pace of the vocals with the drums. I agree there's a familiarity about the song, like I've heard this style of song before, however, I didn't get a pop rock flavor from this song. Justin a rating of 2 come on man.

I’ve been listening to them for years. I-Empire was the first ever album I bought. I was 16 then. I always felt the chorus played 4 times at the end ruined the song. Should have changed it up a bit, as you guys said.

Like their sound, not this song and probably not their musicianship, in general. It's too simplistic, but it's not exactly what I would classify as pop rock. The blink-182 dude cannot be mistaken for anybody else with those inflections and his almost-Kermit timbre. He's laying it on pretty thick, here. I HATE that reverse-loop-underwater kinda effect. Funny you should mention Creed, because I am fairly sure they used that in at least one song, as well. Of course, Nickelback does it, too. Lots of alternative bands did it. That was already a thing in the last century. It apparently never goes out of style. Just thought of another song who does this: Open Your Eyes by the German band Guano Apes. That one was a hit in the states, as well. Maybe that's part of the reason... Also remember something by Aerosmith with this...maybe Crazy? Pearl Jam, too...ugh.

I would not say this is pop rock , its catchy but not pop rock, the Jonas brothers id consider a pop group. But atleast he likes rock music bc bands out now are not rock but poppy, most people would think this sounds heavy especially compared to the hot 100 rock list

Creed? Sounds nothing like Creed and I love both bands. This is basically a more mello dramatic Blink song. Delonge was basically the brains and half the voice behind Blink.

I like the music but not the singer's enunciation of the words. I couldn't tell if he was singing about a fire or a foyer. There were other werrds that sounded funny, too. Maybe he's from Brooklyn. (2.8)

JPMP Update on Angels and Airwaves - Secret Crowds. After initially rating this song a 2.8 I’ve given it a few a more listens and it has grown on me. It has graduated to my playlist! The enunciation is perfect the way it is. A&A reminds me of Switchfoot ("Meant to Live" is a great song, a 5 for me, simple and good). Thanks for the exposure, JP!

Decent enough pop/rock with some cool instrumentation, but I wouldn't go out of my way to seek it out. I'll also give it a 2. Great review /reaction as always, guys. :-)
