I believe both sides of the story Gregory may of done it but theres also a chance it could of been the mimic who cut the wire and Gregory had intentions to take her to a lower floor for a more secure escape location

I think the lift was going up but totally agree with your theory. If the lift had gone down, Cassie would have had a higher chance of surviving as she was at the deepest location of the Pizzaplex. I'd like to know if the Sister Location and Pizzaplex are the same building as it's unknown where the Sister Location is located.

A little something that most people don’t notice in DLC: At the end…in the ELEVATOR, there are two name tags that say “Gregory” because once the first Gregory starts, another name tag of his name pops up and then the Elevator is dropped. The mimic probably did drop the Elevator, and caused Cassie’s possible demise. But hey, that’s just a theory…..*A GAME THEORY.* (I miss MatPat so much😭)
