They left out the biggest part of this game - Swanson coming in with bases loaded, no outs, and doesn’t give up a run.

That speaks to the Angels' bad hitting as much as Swanson's good pithing. Jays also failed to capitalize on a similar situation in the previous inning. Some bad situational hitting this game.

That really sucked, but unfortunately it was just from Schneider blowing the arms in the pen through the Seattle series and the first Dodgers game. Swanson was at 47 innings pitched by that point, and the most he's ever pitched in a season is 58. He's way overworked and has shoved the whole season for the Jays. Even today he had that masterclass against the Angels. You know the management was bad when all you had left to send out in the 10th to hold the Dodgers was Mitch White. Sounds like some reinforcements are coming back from the IL and hopefully from the trade deadline.

Even though after they have finished feuding with the Dodgers, I can see that they are still focus and ready to keep on track, and they defeated the Angels for the first game. Respect to their hometown in Toronto, way to go Blue Jays, good win.

To make the postseason, the Angels need to: - fend off Seattle plus -catch both the Yankees and Red Sox plus - catch one of Houston, Jays and Tampa (or Baltimore); all very good teams all set to improve their line-ups still That's too much. There's too many teams ahead of the Angels. Not gonna happen. The Angels won't make the postseason. I do understand the "going all in" by the Angels, at this trade deadline; Ohtani is gone to a US$500M+ contract somewhere after this season. Oh, and Ohtani needs a rest; a few days off. And the Angels can't win without both him and Trout.

Another Quality start from Gausman & what a spectacular job done by Swanson coming into the game with the bases loaded & nobody out as he completely shuts the Angels down & keeps them off the scoreboard... Merrifield doing major damage hitting leadoff tonight & absolutely should continue to bat at the top of the order... Very Unfortunate situation at the end of the game when the Angels head coach Nevin attempted to attack the home plate umpire as he was heading past the Angels dugout... Luckily the Police & another coaching staff member on the Angels were able to restrain him... Nevin made a complete fool of himself, & if it wasn't for another Angels coaching staff member stopping him, Nevin might have been leaving the ball park in handcuffs tonight... On a different note it will be interesting to see if Ohtani or Romano will be available to play again in this series for their respective teams after both players had to leave the game tonight...Ohtani with calf issues, & Romano with a lower back injury...

Nevin and Angels. Win with teamwork. Try to win without Shohei. Nevin. Give each player a role! ! The upcoming games in August will be strong enemies. Nevin. Need the meeting. Take advantage of the characteristics of the players. Never play selfish. The game from here, each play is really important. ⭕Angels are strong when they have good teamwork. ⇩ The Angels players are growing. You can raise one or two more gears. ------------------------------------ ------------------------------------ Nevin. Give Shohei the rest. You are pushing him too hard. Shohei's body breaks down. Nevin. You understand. Angles need Shohei's best pitching. Angels. Good opportunity. Think positive. To raise the power of the team, fight without Shohei. In times like this, call out to each other with your teammates. Cheer up and fight.

Dude Vladdy has the least amount of strikeouts in the jays lineup. Go look at the stats. Bichette, Chap, Varsho, Springer. I think Merryfield is the only one with less but he also hasn't played as many games as Vlad has. The double play thing is true though.

The batting was terrible for the angels. Rengifo used to come up with some hits when it mattered but now everytime there's runners on base he's an automatic out. These games could decide the entire season and they have some people in the batting order who can't do anything. Very weird decisions.

Not a good game. Lucas gave the Angels a chance by giving them five innings but other than the Ohtani Home Run the offense didn’t do anything today. Hope for a good game tomorrow. GG Blue Jays fans.

Had it been a right call at the 9th for Stefanic, it should've been an rbi walk and who knows what happens next.. Hope tomorrow good things will come in exchange for this SLIGHT mistake of the home ump.

Lol do u even watch the gamea. Theres so many calls that go against the Jay's when it comes to borderline pitches. You cant just nitpick and look at a couple calls because they're pivotal situations when the same thing happens to the other team.
@machi8877
@machi8877 10 ай бұрын
@@ayushkapoor4715 of course I'd pick that particular call, it could've change the outcome and Angels could have the chance to rally back and extend it. I would love to see any team win it on their own, not by a mistake.

It's really lame to blame the loss on the umps. The jays have had those calls go against them all year so it's about time they got one back.

Shohei's HR rate was around 1 per 10 AB which is 10% and Apple TV had it at 3% at the bottom right. I always suspected their pct gimmick during the game were all nonsense.

Let me get this right. You have bases loaded, and you pull Showtime because of cramps he had the day before? Duh!

The "duh" was having Ohtani pitch on a double header. Extra stress on the body and it came back to bite the Angels.

I'm not a baseball manager but was the PH for Ohtani the right call. I know he had a cramp, but it was bases loaded, so you would think that a walk (whether the blue jay decides to pitch around him because they might have been fearful that he could swing one out of the park again, not knowing he has a cramp, or he draws a walk) would score one, then he would get a pinch runner. OK if they pitch to him, he might hurt himself swinging at the ball or running to first, but he could have been told to hold off. Just wondering.
