I love this! The custodian giving us their name, getting to tease our bestie in tag team, us being part of a *prophecy* and learning so much about the custodian’s past! Ilyan asking to know about their brother was so important; he understands first hand what it felt like to have people forget you or be unable to speak of you for so long since he let people think he was dead while he watched over us.

Throwing out a theory: Zazriel isn’t who SB needs to save. Since he’s been committing war crimes up the wild zoo, he might be beyond saving. I think it’s Micheal. I think SB needs to save Micheal from the guilt he feels for not being able to save Zaz the first time, for carrying the world on his shoulders. Maybe SB saves Micheal by showing him it’s ok to let go.

I have a little theory about Zazriel, so just hear me out,okay? (I know I’m like a year and two months late, but that’s okay.💀✋) So what if Zazriel isn’t who he necessarily says he is? You might be wondering, what the heck does that mean necessarily? He must be Zazriel if everyone else thinks that, right? Wrong. What I think is happening is that “Zazriel” is really his, Michael’s, and Samiel’s father. I think that their father (SPOILER.) did die out on his exile punishment and later got turned into a demon (bc of how much he was a A$$) and when Zazriel was finally able to access his own realm/the chaos realm his father as a demon possessed him. (SPOILER.) Bc if you remember earlier in the series we find out that demons can possess beings/ people, and as well as we don’t necessarily know what happens to divines after they die it’s safe to possibly assume that some of the demons are people/beings souls that are in the chaos realm to be punished or be miserable for a shitty life they led and between you and me…(I THINK THEIR DAD DESERVES TO BE MISERABLE.) Anyway I still think at the time Zazriel’s mind was in a weak state having to lose his loving mother by his father’s hand, having to deal with his father’s abuse, and as well as having to send his a$$hole of a father to exile (yes their father was a bastard, but I still think all three of them loved him to a certain extent.) and so it made his mind weak to the possession and manipulation of his demonic father. This would also explain why Samiel and Michael say Zazriel was acting a bit strange after becoming a divine ascendent and a little while of accessing his own realm. SO yes, i think SB/us needs to save Zazriel…from his own father. (Thank you for reading if you honestly got this far.😭✋)

So I know this is from a year ago but I have a theory. Tobias said when talking about the strands of Fate turning grey that potential realities are dying off. What if those realities are realities where SB didn't survive? The demons attacking the cloud crystal district- Illian couldn't fight off the demons and they slaughtered SB. The attack at the camp- Samiel couldn't couldn't protect SB and the same guy that stabbed them finished the job. The Baron- The demons were able to kill both SB and Samiel due to Samiel's fatigued state or maybe Micheal didn't show up. SB potentially not ending up in the Obsidian Cascade, maybe he ended up in the glistening spires or the Dryad oasis. Zaziel's plan worked and SB bled out or Zaziel interrupted the ritual. This could be way off but it seems plausible if SB is said to be unique to this reality. I think about this way too much.

Just a theory after rewatching it for the 665th time😂 just an exaggeration, but I did rewatch this for many times😅. Michael is probably right in my head about who to save. It might probably be Zazrael. I remember in The Respite mini episode about their father and how he loathes not being allowed to ascend. Just like what Samael said, his father, Marcelion conducted a research on how to ascend through other means and how to do it perfectly. He has a thesis about it and probably, he got his answer. I just want to assume that whatever was the other conditions to perfect the ascension, it needs a sacrifice. And what I think that their father sacrificed, was their mother, Mirela. Thinking about it, Samael mentioned that his father considers Divine Ascendants as peak evolution. If my memory still serves me right, Ilyan said that there's a Divine of whatever we think. My guess, Marcelion did ascend and I think, he is a Divine Ascendant of Corruption. And his first to corrupt, was Zazrael. His soul probably remained just like how Zazrael's before going back to life. I think we can purify Zazrael out of his corruption. This could be a stretch but this is what my mind says. I am somewhere in Asia and it is currently 3:23PM here. So I think my brain juice goes down😮 Edit: I mean 3:23 AM😅
