Our problem in Ghana is always policy vs politics. It's sad.
@abdulmajeedpiyam61992 жыл бұрын
@@emmanuelbright2250 He may have the lofty ideas but if the govt of the day has not got the political will to implement it, they will sit on it. He mentioned 2 years which i feel it's unrealistic. Even Qatar with their heavy cash it took them close to ten years to move the first maglev train on the rail and Qatar is just a small country the size of greater Accra. Governments in Africa/Ghana want to engage in short term populist programs for election purposes. The feasibility studies and design may take time. Then the construction will take years too. If a government won't get the project completed to use for campaign they will drag their feet. One of the reasons we are not developing. It's sad. This project alone can generate more than 30,000 jobs. Hmmm. I'm on my way back to Qatar. Can't stay in Ghana.

He abandoned his US daughter under the age 4 and never financially supported me or even called or even attempted to contact me although he is a tech innovator and so pivotal in developing fiber optics that allows for such instant communication. He used his brilliant mind to evade not only Child Support Authorities, but most importantly his own daughter from being able to contact him. So I can truly say as his daughter he a brilliant scientist but is profoundly deficient in the genes 🧬 for true fatherhood, compassion and concern for me or his other US daughter that is younger than me. It’s quite evident because for all his interviews and fanfare he would never care if his 40 yr old daughter in the US lived or died. He is that selfish and self absorbed he doesn’t care. I’ve been a success despite his lack of being there and really only seeing from him once at 6 yrs old and literally three other times in my life. It would’ve made a difference in my life for him to care enough about someone other than himself and care about his own flesh and blood.

Ghana airways was collapsed by the workers and not by any Ghanaian leader, I remember in 1998 I wanted to fly out to New York from Ghana, I went to get a ticket and was told that the plane was full, one of the senior admin called me to the side and told me that somebody canceled and that if I pay a little more above the ticket price, they can put me on the plane so I did, when I got on the plane, it was half empty, so why was I being told the plane was full when it was not, it is corruption of those people put in charge that collapse the airline, Mr Mensah has good ideas for Ghana, we hope the government gives him the necessary support and also nip corruption in all sectors so that Ghana and Ghanaians can benefit from his projects.

I'm not suggesting the Dr. isn't an honest citizen, we just need everyone involved to "show" we can trust them with public money, and more importantly, what the benefits are to them, personally, from every major project. Transparency and Accountability must be demanded from every government official and private investors.

One of the benefits of the bullet trains is simply decentralisation. All the institutions and major economic hubs won't need to be clustered up in Accra hence opening up the country to immense and expansive development across board. Let's change the narrative of Ghana just being mainly about Accra. Honestly keeping everything in Accra is how the rich and politicians control us basically. And that's why traffic in Accra is unbearable. Expand the economy to all corners of the country and trust me accountability will be on the rise and trackable on district level. Bullet trains will facilitate the easy movement of citizens cross country wise within no time. Someone living in Kumasi can wake up at 6 AM and be in Tamale in less than an hour and vice versa. Someone living in Kosoa can be working in say, Aflao and vice versa. This man knows what he's talking about because he's experienced it and honestly it's not rocket science. It's just a matter of copying and pasting. Our leaders know this but won't implement it because ABR) NE BEYIE 3NTI
