Me with ADHD Hi so I’m 13 and I don’t if I have adhd but I’m having a lot of trouble in school because I can’t focus but I’ve never been able to focus and I forget about my assignments and my emotions are out of control and I’m hyper and annoying and people get mad at me and adhd runs in my family but I’m a girl so people don’t see it and it’s really messing with me and my grades were ok when I was little but they are dropping very low and all these thing and more are getting worse it’s not only messing with my school but it’s also messing with my family and friends and others and there are so many things I can rant about but I really don’t see a point but I was just wondering if you could give me any advice because it’s really messing with me thank you so much for reading this I’ve also had a really hard life when I tell people about it they think it’s a made up story but it’s real and it’s just starting to get better but this is just another obstacle in my way again thank you for reading this And any advice is welcome thank you And I’m just so smart and I know it but I can’t show people that because of the fact I can’t focus and I never get my work done and how I act I also have anxiety and really bad racing thoughts and I’m really all over the place and when I think of something I have to say there’s a lot of other things am I repeating myself sorry if I am also I’m sorry if I’m all over the place

@@BlackHeart16905 I know you were asking Me with ADHD but I feel like the advice you need in this situation is pretty obvious: talk about it with an adult who will listen. I recommend starting with your regular doctor, ask about seeing a psychiatrist, tell them about the issues you're having. If your parents are willing to listen you could talk to them first. Maybe a school counselor or school therapist?

i was diagnosed with adhd recently. since i am a teenager and pretty late in diagnosis, i already had many bad experiences with it because people chalked it up to behaviour issues and not being medicated didn’t help either. This lead to me being bullied and scolded all the time (especially since i was a girl and my teachers saw impulsively as a guy thing). Since my diagnosis I’ve been healing and a bit happier. looking back now a lot of things made sense. I still haven’t reach the confidence to tell people about it aside from family but I hope to fully accept this part of myself one day. Channels/support groups like this have help me understand and try to overcome. thank you sm for the information and positivity you share on the topic.

Thank you for explaining! I had no idea my over emotional-ness was due to my ADHD! One time while taking a quiz, I didn’t remember anything we learned, or even learning the material. I started crying during the quiz and got into such a state that I couldn’t calm down and TRY to solve the problems. And then after the quiz I had a meltdown because I knew I had failed. Now I know ADHD was likely the cause. Thank you again!

Started meditating especially during COVID I’m in college rn so being away from school has been super tough. But for all my ADHD people mediation is key for emotional regulation. There have been times for me where I completely blow things out of proportion and go on these huge tangents/narratives. Believe me whatever that situation is it’s not as bad as you think it is. If you find yourself in that rabbit hole just meditate I’m telling you it works. And reach out to people whether that be your boss or fellow students whatever and be honest with them don’t make rash decisions.

I can’t tell if I’m over-reacting or under-reacting anymore. I feel everything so much and so intensely that I wind up creating extra issues and arguments in my own head while trying to understand the initial problem. I know my life is changing and most things are not working out for me right now. But I can’t express how hard this has been affecting me. Meds work but they also create their own small list of issues. Meds work = toxic introspection No meds = panic attacks induced by racing thoughts and lack of focus. I’m alone in my world and I’m scared that I’m only going to continue to feel like this forever. To anyone who knows what this exact feeling is just know you don’t have to feel alone and I’m sorry you or anyone has to feel like this. I love ya and remember you are human and not all of us are wired the same so it’s okay to feel a lot just try not to react a lot. ❤

This information is perfect! Impulsivity hands down me to every time!! Ugh. Also really struggle with what you were saying the last minute or so, I have such an obsession with perfectionism. Everyone always says I’m way to hard on myself and this is the very thing I am currently working on with my Therapist. I feel so sad for us ADHDers, it feels like we are constantly swimming against the current and yet trying to go with the current at the same time. Speaking though of our brains working a lot faster, I often get very annoyed and frustrated when non ADHDers can’t move as fast as me or can’t process things as fast as I do. The frustration comes because I then have to slow down to there speed or repeat things.

My brothers and I have all have ADHD, and especially my brother and I have been reduced to tears over anything to do with schoolwork. We've also ended up yelling at our dad and eachother when we think we should do something one way but our father tells us to do another way. I've never been emotional over things like shows or games but I find myself in tears over the thought that I've upset an online friend or somebody else.

I'm melting down now because I'm in Puerto Rico and there's a drug shortage and I cant find my medication anywhere. I'm down to my last dose and I'm really scared of what's about to happen. I've been taking adderal for 10 years. I dont want to stop. It helps me and I remember exactly what my life was like before the meds and I've accepted that I need it and I'm grateful everyday I have it. but I've run out before and also tried to just live without it and discovered how necessary it is for me to treat my ADHD. Now I'm being forced off of it because it cant be found. Also. there's no advocacy from the manufacturers, distributors or pharmacies. and in addition to adderal withdrawal, im quarantined. please share any information, insight or advice on how to obtain this medication legally

I find that I don't have too many problems with emotional regulation but that is mostly because I also have severe depression, which usually causes me to just sit in that emotional slump at all times. I do, however relate with RSD. I always feel that, and I find myself getting mad at people for complimenting me all the time. The worst part is cleaning up the damage afterwards. I hate the part of cleaning it up, because I know, in the end, I only have myself to blame for it. It's extremely frustrating.

When I'm angry I take it out on myself. I go downstairs to my garage and bang a broom stick or bat against the concrete wall, sometimes till I have blisters. This is especially the case when I make a mistake. It's the emotion I have the most trouble managing. I've recently been diagnosed and since then I've learned to cope in a far less destructive way.

And that it feels like that mine emotions are the steering wheel instead of myself. But still...it should not be like that, becausethatfeelings can be a burning flame inside what i also can bring in the interaction. Why can it sometimes be so hard to controle that? From all the ADD things, that is what i don't like the most. .

Trying to understand why my wife gets extremely angry and rageful. She got diagnosed with adhd last year and I didn’t really connect the anger dots until now because we got into and her and anger and rage is over top the for situation, she’s always been like this and she would gaslight me and make me think it’s my fault and like I’m the crazy one but it makes sense now. I’m her husband and trying to hang in there as long as she lets me, just trying to find the strength to carry on everyday while taking an emotional beating is very hard.

This is so very me. I am only now exploring that I might have ADHD. Tics since very little, academic issues when little and teen, rejection issue all of it. I am having an appt with a psychiatrist this month. I am not wanting to take stimulants adhd meds. I do struggle with facial tics. Didn’t have them all last year. ( Interesting). Gonna watch more of your videos. Thank you. This really describes me. I am 57 yo.

Miaya G. Nah😂 I live around people with the same accent as Daz, so it’s not just the accent. Also, I have the same accent as Caz and I can confirm, as a 15 year old girl, I do not look like Daz😂
