Me encanta Angerfist es mi DJ favorito y amo el hardcore pero ese nuevo bombo que están incorporando al Hardcore que parece que solo suene un pitido no agrada nada... Algunos no piensan como yo y otros puede que si pero sinceramente el Hardcore Ya no es lo que era antes Angerfist y otros DJs gustaban más esas míticas canciones que tenían el bass con la melodía todo equilibrado y las disfrutabas.... Ahora no... Ahora son 4 palabras dichas por un hombre haciendo guturales y luego es solo bass y no tan bien echo como antes. (No critico el Hardcore, al contrario me encanta de toda la vida pero como dije... Muchos pensaran como yo).

Everyone is complaining about the kicks, like seriously, I personally don't like how in general all "mainstream hardcore" uses the same kick (or at least very similar sounding kicks). For example, a producer named NeoX made a remix of the classic "So Many Sacrifices" by Ophidian & Ruffneck but honestly it sounds like it could have been made by any other artist.

You can't really mess around too much with a golden tune like So Many Sacrifices. NeoX has his own sound, if you listen to his discography you will hear more of his sound in that remix. The real hardcore kick will always be the 2005-2012 kick, because it was designed in a way that encourages artists to work with melodies and stuff. This new high-pitched kick is killing innovation within the scene, because there's not much headroom to do anything creative with it other than just slap it on the track. Just my two cents.

@@Axelade Even so, NeoX's lead and kick in that remix sound very generic. Among my personal favourite hardcore albums is Extreme Audio by Evil Activities, the tracks on that album have awesome kicks and the melodies are unreal. Also, when you think about didn't Radical Redemption pioneer the use of these high-pitched punchy kicks in hardcore? If you look at "Injustice & Pain" you can tell he just used his normal punchy kicks from his rawstyle tracks and made a hardcore track with it.

An artist has (and should have) the freedom to experiment with different sounds to stay in the picture, also in kicks. Not just using the same type of sounds everytime. I'm defenitely not a fan of those 'ping pong kicks' that Malice or GPF are using but kickdrums with a high punch like in this track or for example, in tracks from The Satan give a really powerfull attack and that aggressive vibe to it.
