@@juliecrocketmarinette3011 Charice never went to #1 on the Hot 100. That's the singles chart. Charice's highest charting song on the Hot 100 was "Pyramid," which peaked at #56. The first Asian act to go #1 on the Hot 100 was Japanese singer Kyu Sakamoto with "Ue o Muite Arukō" (aka "Sukiyaki") in 1963. Even though I truly believe it deserved to chart here, "Snow in the Sahara" did not chart on the Hot 100. It charted on some sub-charts (Dance/Club and Adult Top 40 radio).

"Snow On The Sahara" Only tell me that you still want me here When you wander off out there To those hills of dust and hard winds that blow In that dry white ocean alone Lost out in the desert You are lost out in the desert But to stand with you in a ring of fire I'll forget the days gone by I'll protect your body and guard your soul From mirages in your sight Lost out in the desert (desert, desert...) If your hope scatter like the dust across your track I'll be the moon that shines on your path The sun may blind our eyes, I'll pray the skies above For snow to fall on the Sahara If that's the only place where you can leave your doubts I'll hold you up and be your way out And if we burn away, I'll pray the skies above For snow to fall on the Sahara Just a wish and I will cover your shoulders With veils of silk and gold When the shadows come and darken your heart Leaving you with regrets so cold Lost out in the desert (desert, desert...) If your hope scatter like the dust across your track I'll be the moon that shines on your path The sun may blind our eyes, I'll pray the skies above For snow to fall on the Sahara If that's the only place where you can leave your doubts I'll hold you up and be your way out And if we burn away, I'll pray the skies above For snow to fall on the Sahara For snow to fall on the Sahara For snow to fall on the Sahara For snow to fall on the Sahara

Only tell me that you still want me here When you wander off out there To those hills of dust and hard winds that blow In that dry white ocean alone Lost out in the desert You are lost out in the desert But to stand with you in a ring of fire I'll forget the days gone by I'll protect your body and guard your soul From mirages in your sight Lost out in the desert (desert, desert...) If your hope scatter like the dust across your track I'll be the moon that shines on your path The sun may blind our eyes, I'll pray the skies above For snow to fall on the Sahara If that's the only place where you can leave your doubts I'll hold you up and be your way out And if we burn away, I'll pray the skies above For snow to fall on the Sahara Just a wish and I will cover your shoulders With veils of silk and gold When the shadows come and darken your heart Leaving you with regrets so cold Lost out in the desert (desert, desert...) If your hope scatter like the dust across your track I'll be the moon that shines on your path The sun may blind our eyes, I'll pray the skies above For snow to fall on the Sahara If that's the only place where you can leave your doubts I'll hold you up and be your way out And if we burn away, I'll pray the skies above For snow to fall on the Sahara For snow to fall on the Sahara For snow to fall on the Sahara For snow to fall on the Sahara

Nobody mentions her 'shout-out' vocals in the end of the clip? Goosebumps, right?! You could relate on how heartbreaking it feels from that voice, alone.... TRULY MASTERPIECE OF ART!!! 💯

This song always brings back memories from the hardest year of my life. I was 20 years old. I found this song and was listening to it as I had to pack up all of my belongings. My family lost our home of 14 years and we were being split up all in the same month. My middle brother and I were very close, and so we were able to rent a small house together. I felt that I was going to be ok. But then our oldest brother moved in because he got kicked out of his friend's house. Neither my middle brother or I could get along with him, so my middle brother moved in with friends, leaving me behind. I had no choice but to stay because I couldn't afford to go anywhere else There were nights he would lock me out of the house so I slept in my car. Then I had to deal with my parent's never ending financial problems, having to help them financially while I barely was able to provide for myself. I flunked out of college that semester, got rejected when I told my good friend I had feelings for him (later found out he was gay), and I got really sick with a lymph node infection. Yeah, 2006 was a horrible year. EDIT NOVEMBER 2022: Wowwww....I had no idea that my story would have such an impact all these years later!!!! While I still reflect back on that time in 2006 with a pain of nostalgia and regret, I know, without a shadow of doubt, that it was the best thing that happened to me. I want all of you to know, that no matter what you are going thru, no matter what obstacles stand looming over you, that you WILL BE OKAY. HANG IN THERE!!!!! I love each and every one of you who read this message, and I sincerely hope that you all find all the peace and happiness you deserve in life.

I heard this song for the first time in 1998 when Anggun guested in a TV show in the Philippines to promote her concert in Manila. I instantly loved this song and the way she sang it! Love from the Philippines.

Anggun serves the music in a natural way and creates music art (imperishable!), captivating the listener to take off and soar, and not just to make money on entertainment, like most in the industry. This album, in which you can savor and examine each song, is a living perfection. Bravo!
