It's probably the 7th time in a row that I'm listening to this. The passion put in this performance gives me goosebumps.

Lyrics Why, who me, why? Feet don't fail me now Take me to your finish line Oh my heart it breaks every step that I take But I'm hoping that the gates, they'll tell me that you're mine Walking through the city streets Is it by mistake or design? I feel so alone on a Friday night Can you make it feel like home if I tell you you're mine? It's like I told you, honey Don't make me sad, don't make me cry Sometimes love is not enough and the road gets tough, I don't know why Keep making me laugh Let's go get high The road is long, we carry on Try to have fun in the meantime Come take a walk on the wild side Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain You like your girls insane So choose your last words, this is the last time 'Cause you and I, we were born to die Lost but now I am found I can see but once I was blind I was so confused as a little child Tried to take what I could get Scared that I couldn't find All the answers, honey Don't make me sad, don't make me cry Sometimes love is not enough and the road gets tough, I don't know why Keep making me laugh Let's go get high The road is long, we carry on Try to have fun in the meantime Come take a walk on the wild side Come kiss me hard in the pouring rain You like your girls insane So, choose your last words, this is the last time 'Cause you and I, we were born to die We were born to die We were born to die Come and take a walk on the wild side Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain You like your girls insane Don't make me sad, don't make me cry Sometimes love is not enough and the road gets tough, I don't know why Keep making me laugh Let's go get high The road is long, we carry on Try to have fun in the meantime Come take a walk on the wild side Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain You like your girls insane Choose your last words, this is the last time 'Cause you and I, we were born to die (we were born to die)

Hey, if you read this in time, there's a "Lange Nacht" (long night, meaning 3 hours) on DLF Kultur about Janis Joplin starting at 5 minutes past the next hour. But I don't know whether you understand German. 😁 Didn't know she died on 4 Oct. Only knew it was in 1970, which is my birthyear, btw. You can also download it as a podcast, unless it's blocked in AUS.

Tomorrow is Germany's national holiday. Some of us are celebrating Reunification, because we all know that the Berlin Wall came down on 3 Oct, lol. (It actually didn't.) Just listening to a radio programme where they're discussing the East / West German stereotypes that still exist after 30 years. You write that you "would like to write work that unites people, that understands the complex and painful things that happen, and brings hope and offers some light." Please come to Germany, we badly need artists like you. 😂😁🤣

Sorry to bother you again. 😄 I googled a bit for The Jezabels (trying to find out Sam's and Nik's birthdate for Wikipedia, maybe someone who reads this can help) and found an article where THIS VERY SONG is mentioned, too. Did you know that it was produced by Dan Grech-Marguerat?! And did you know that Dan also produced "The Brink", 2nd album by the Jezzies?
