Oh my god. I heard this song for the first time just now on the playlist of Kevin's last week in the studio and can't believe I never heard this song before. It's moved me to tears and the first thought I had was "god, please let there be a KEXP studio performance of this." This is so good. I'm so thankful to her for making this and to Kevin and I can't speak for the rest of the world but I'm so thankful to KEXP in general and Kevin in particular for bringing so much incredible music into my life.

Yeah I agree that always happens to me! Or I always go this song is perfect but keeps the same slow pace and I'm waiting for the pickup to hit but it never does! She has some of the best music I've heard her lyrics and vocals and the way the songs are laid out is so good! Cheers

As far as I know, there is no live mix in the KEXP youtube videos (live mix only when the live broadcast is on the radio). Bands get the audio tracks and work on mix and mastering themselves, then send them back. I know from a band who have been here before.

I can’t stand musicians who just like to hold a guitar and strum away, pretending they’re actually contributing to the melody, while it’s the piano, the other guitarist, bass and drummer. She’s pointless with her air guitar.

Apologies but I think that's a mindblowingly silly comment on many levels. If you write the song, sing the sing, and play rhythm guitar to underscore the musical arrangement, I'd say that's contributing to the melody.
