For now...I would say why EVs' were introduced is mainly to soften the impact of high petrol prices in the market that makes future car buyers hesitant to buy cars..at the same time environmental friendly(?) but actually a delayed reaction that is caused by its lithium-ion battery -- IMPROPER DISPOSAL OF THE BATTERY ITSELF

I think Philippines is not ready to adopt EV's because we dont have good facilities for recycling our waste. It's just create more problems in our invironment.

I haven't fact checked sa Philippine setting pero worldwide, livestock farming produces up to 50% of greenhouse gas emissions. Ganyan galing ang woke logic nya. Kung may na offset, mas malaki parin contribution ng petrol car emissions nya. It's the moral ascendancy of I gave up meat therefore I can still use petrol cars and discourage others to choose EVs for me. Mabuti pang sabihin nya nlng na mas gusto nya lang talaga ang petrol cars vs EV. Purely preference wala nang echos.

Technology is technology it can be good or bad..either vehicle can damage our environment ..gas fuel vehicles are immediate while EV are delayed...EV depends mostly on how the individual properly maintain its lithium-ion battery (proper disposal of the battery is VERY IMPORTANT) and the driving habit...i think the components of lithium-ion batteries are more toxic..
