One of my all time favorite movies! And yes, this song was perfect for the scene. I also liked how they filmed it. How they kept going back and forth from her taking down the posters to just sitting on the side of her bed contemplating her choices with this song playing. It was a great way to play out her character arc.

This version of this song has never failed to make me tear up. Even just the first 5 seconds, it feels like my heart stops. Shoutout to the original singers of this song, but Angie Stone's version just...hits the Black spirit in a very specific way, in my opinion. It's so...emotional.
