dude i felt it when angie was talking about her senior year i graduate 2025 and i have credits that i need to get still but im trying my hardest bc just how angie said “it’s the bare minimum” that i could do to make my mom proud after all these years of waking up early, my mom taking me to school and my mom working her ass off i have to make her proud and graduate

I’m 10 years older then this girl. Never followed or watched her because of age gap not having things in common but the way she talked about her brother and family! I love her! God bless you and please don’t stop praying for your brother I will include him too. From someone who came out of a similar situation I know it was my family’s prayers and loved ones that helped me don’t give up

The way I can relate from just the beginning of how she didn’t want to go with her dad bc she was so used to being with mom. My father traveled from up north to make an effort to see me and I wouldn’t ever want to go because I was so used to me my mom. But when he had to leave to Mexico I had so much guilt for not spending time with him. Now that he lives in Mexico I cherish my time with him so much and he truly has never failed me as a father. Our relationship as father and daughter is full of love that I wouldn’t tray for anything.

wow this podcast really hit home! Alannized you navigate the most difficult conversations so gracefully but I have a word for Angie. Mamas God and Prayer is the only way you will get peace during your difficult time with your loved one. You can only do so much because it's not in our control. Know that your destine to be happy and no matter what the outcome is you are here for the experience and we must let go and LET GOD.

Angie, all you can do is continue keeping faith and being there for your bother. Addiction is real and hard. It’s up to him to recover but at the end of the day, you can’t help someone who doesn’t want to be helped. At that point there is nothing more you could’ve done! Keep a peace in mind knowing you tried. Praying for you and yours 🙏🏽

I’m opposite…. The way i would wait for my dad on the stairs n he would always text me “I’m going” “I’m 20 mins away” n the fact that he would never show up n i would hide from everyone n my mom n cry n ask myself why would he lie to me. Dads r literally our first heartbreak.

I’m glad this girl was able to get her HS diploma if anything recognizing all the effort her mother did as a single mom to make sure she graduated. I feel just because you start making coins that they don’t see a value of an education. She’s 19 and she may need that HS diploma some day if this social media doesn’t workout. This is a new industry and we don’t know how the life of an influencer will workout and realize that so many influencers talked down about education is kind of sad

Sadly some addicts do need for you to walk away, love them from a far, somtimes us love ones make excuses for the addiction “imagine how they feel” we end up feeling like the guilty ones and give in to their addiction, in their mind all they think is “my family will be there, my mom will always handle it” and in reality that’s feeding the cycle, some addicts need to hit the point of no one, I have no one to fall back on, I have to do this. I’ve watched it many times, I’ve had many talks with love ones asking them to step back for a little and let them battle this and of course they feel guilty for “walking away” but you’re not walking away you’re cheering from the side, the love is still the same.

Feel so bad when she talked about her brothers addiction 😢 I also feel families need healthy boundaries ❤ help and be there for that person. But also not the point where it’s taking over your life completely it’s a sad situation. I understand 😢they wanna be there for him, but also need healthy boundaries so that their entire life doesn’t revolve around just that person with the addiction ❤

If you want to get out of it you can ! Just put your trust in god and get clean yes you will feel sick that’s withdrawals but just think about it like having a really bad flu lock your self in the house for 1-2 weeks drink tons of water and steam showers if your 21+ you can go to the doctor your self and get medication that won’t make you feel sick and you can get clean remember it only takes 1-2 weeks to get those things out your system and not be sick you got this !💜
