People are saying she will never admit she was in love with Irv. But two people can have two different experiences and if they weren’t in a committed relationship for her it was just a situation and for him she was his property. I feel like people can’t fathom that a woman would be able to move like this and a man could be this bitter and upset. Ashanti is so classy and I love that she responded in her own time and own way. I pray she taps into it and creates an epic album, wins Grammys and goes on tour.

@@safepop what were you listening to because she said they messed around (aka FWB) and the whole time he said he was legally separated. She also said while he was dealing with her he had tons of GFs. She literally admitted to it. Sex isn’t always a “relationship” and she said it was not on the level he makes it out to be.

Shes 42 years old. Unmarried and no family. Still tryna act 20. She should be tryna give that old box away. This is what fumbling your best years looks like. Empty. Knock it off.

In her interviews when she was younger, I mistook her for acting /pretending to be charming & semi-suburban-hood.. but in this setting w/Ang u can really see how genuine, kind, articulate, comfortable in her skin, and smart she is. She comes across as having humility, respect for others, and a good sense of humor. She has a loveable personality and I like how she owns her prior decisions with grace. She deserves all her 💐s and stars 🌟 She really is a role model for these city girls and female entertainers of this era! ❤

I 100% believe that Irv used the whole legal situation to make Ashanti look disloyal because he was jealous of her and Nelly. That is common in the industry - if a woman doesn't sleep with a powerful/influential man, or keep sleeping with them, or keep allowing them to use her...and God forbid wants an actual relationship with someone else who wants a relationship and not a side-piece...then they punish her by trying to kill her reputation...Irv had no business with Ashanti at that time. Let's start there. If he wants loyalty...he should be loyal to his wife...what in the world!

I like how the timing of the video is 11111. Clean slate for you Ashanti. Well deserved and long over due. This was needed on so many levels. Cautionary tale for Women especially BW. Ashanti stop calling yourself a female I know that the culture loves to downgrade women in every facet but that's what you are sis, you are a woman 💕.
