This compilation is amazing solely because Shonen Knife’s cover is so damn happy and lovable, way more cheer than the original, then you get hit with Boris’ cover of Sometimes and it fucking kills every part of you. Love to see two of my favorite bands on here, especially since they’re doing their own twist and doing it well!

I was just about to say, it pretty much is the original with the exception of the vocalist. However, even the vocalist sounds the same.

I sang vocals on the track, and totally agree. The band members wanted to get as close as possible with a lot of the sound, although I'm not exactly sure what the reason was. We went as far as to record the sound in a completely analog format; nothing digital was used in the recording session. Made for an interesting session.
