Good to see a 47 back as its a few years since 715 haymarket left. Shame leyburn to redmire isn't in use atm as its such a scenic stretch.

Remembering steam as everyday I never thought I would have nostalgia for dirty diesels. But here I am enjoying the sights and sounds of an everyday yesteryear again. I loved at Newton Aycliffe near Greenfield School and watched the cement trains coming and going everyday. Rode those awful pacers to Darlo and Bishop Auckland too. Not the best experience rail wise. Lol 🤣. Preservation was talked about for some while before the cement traffic finished and I left back to Birmingham. I'm pleased to see that the line succeeded thus far. And of course the new shiny NRM outpost at Sheldon will be a big help I would hope. Thanks for refreshing the old grey matter. 👍👍👍👍

0:09 look at the state that class 47 is in, that rust is really bad, they need to give her a good clean up.
