Yeah we did, Henry's want of a divorce was the spark that lit the explosion that rid us of Rome. It's right. Back in the day, we'd live much shorter lives. Divorce must be accepted into the church. Christianity must take a hard line but also be accepting to the realities of modernity.

King Henry viii wanted an annulment, or a declaration that his marriage was never valid, as he was married to his brothers widow, which is forbidden in Leviticus 20.21 "And if a man shall take his brother's wife, it is an unclean thing: he hath uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall be childless."

You completely left out The Anglican Church of Canada. Also, how Anglicans split from the Roman Catholic Church is not as simplistic as saying it was because of divorce. That is not accurate. Also, the Anglican Church in Canada supports same sex marriage.

I've been visiting an Episcopal church in my area occasionally, and I intend to visit it more often in the future. It's a beautiful church with a loving community. I wish there were more young people, but I've come to realize and accept that if I want more young people to come to the Episcopal Church, I have to be the first.

Maybe God may not even care about anti lgbt or whether women can be bishops etc. (I had people argue with me hard that women aren't supposed to have position of authority like pastors and military or CEOs, according to God, which to me sounds ridiculous).
