Great video. I Used to live in Oregon, now back in Tokyo. Loved fishing trout on beautiful Oregon lakes and this really reminded me how much fun I had. Look forward to seeing more.

Wow!! Beautiful place. A few years ago my kids and a few friends went up above Green Peter Reservoir and did a clean up. We ended up with two pickup loads full of trash and stuff people had left behind. It's sad to see the outdoors treated like this. Great video.

HOOKED OUTDOORS - thank you! Makes me happy to know there are people who care enough and are willing to clean things up. I did the same at barview jetty a couple years ago. I was really surprised to see some of the stuff people just left or tossed into the rocks.. pretty sad. Thanks to you, your kids, and some friends for taking the initiative

It was pretty amazing being out on the kayak, watching the birds, seeing all those fish, and not having so many people around. I was excited and quick to get the drone up in the air when I realized I finally had a chance. I like the different view and it’s obviously not something we get to see everyday. Really like these camping/fishing videos. The underwater shots are great. That trash being left is going to get areas like that shut down. Jason of the Primal Outdoors Channel found a camp spot near Hood completely trashed and it was later shut down. That isn't what Oregon is about and a-holes who do that will ruin it for all. You acted pretty mellow and kept the vid family rated, but off camera might have been a bit different. Great vid otherwise and thanks.

Fish and Forage - Thanks bro! I still can’t believe how many fish were schooled up right there. It helps having the osprey around because they will school up like that but then they are super skiddish about anything around them which makes catching them a bit harder. Find a bunch like that when the birds aren’t around and you can be catching fish every cast once you find the right area. That trash........ 🤷‍♂️wtf is wrong with people?

If I named this lake after showing that underwater footage this lake would be worse off than it already is. Just gotta get out there and explore.

Angling Addicts PNW that’s a great answer. I tried trillium lake last week and it was horrible.

@AnglingAddictsPNW 4 жыл бұрын
Mark Zeidan I appreciate the understanding. I looked at trillium a few weeks ago and the lake was sooo crowded with people. Gotta find places that are a bit further out and harder to get to. Most people are pretty lazy and won’t put in the work when there are easier and closer places to get to.

I know your frustrations about people leaving trash. I know like when I go out & up in the Washington mountains I see a lot more homeless campers too and they are leaving lots of trash and they don't care.
@AnglingAddictsPNW
@AnglingAddictsPNW 4 жыл бұрын
John Coon - I just don’t get how or why people would think this is ok. The homeless camp people are usually the worse since they accumulate more trash over time. I see too much of it. I remember the sandy river raising enough last year and it was washing all the homeless camp trash down into the Columbia River... frustrated is putting it lightly. I absolutely hate people who do this type of stuff.. thanks for watching and the feedback.

mm88swrt - I’d prefer this lake name not be dropped. There aren’t many out there like this lake right now so I’m guessing that your guess is correct. Dropping the name of the lake only makes the whole garbage problem a bigger one considering how many people would run up there to fish. In my opinion people just need to put in the work and explore fishing areas

I just don't understand why people do that man, it seriously makes me so angry. And in the midst of covid, yeah let's go out and make the world an even worse place to live by trashing a beautiful forest, killing wildlife and destroying and eco system. That right there is why I wanna move to idaho and get away from these type of people, yeah there's always those type of people everywhere, but a lot less over there... A LOT less. Anyway nice fishing Nick, theres a lot of them in there sheesh!

Josh Drendel - This is one of the reasons I am always trying to find new fishing spots that are still unknown by most but that’s getting harder and harder these days. I don’t recall seeing a single piece of trash anywhere on the first lake I hiked to and camped at in that 3 day video. That was nice but pretty off grid. It just blows my mind how people can be. And yes there are those types of people everywhere but I’m sure there are far less over there in Idaho. If people don’t know how to camp or shit in a forest then they don’t belong there. If that’s what they do to our forests then I can only imagine how much of a piece of shit they are in life and all the decisions they make. Not the type of people I want to be around. I’m no longer name dropping where I go for this reason. Good to see a comment from you bro! I know you’ve been around basically from the start. Thank you...... and I still can’t believe all those fish! That was nuts

Lol btw was up at cedar creek this morning and hooked into a beautiful chrome bright wild chinook. Was a great fight. I also took out a bunch of fishing line i found on the bank (there's alot) really wish people could just pack out what they take in, it seems like less and less people don't have this quality/mindset

Oh man I haven’t fished cedar for a couple years now.... and for that reason, I can’t stand the morons that trash that place too! Glad to hear you hooked into a fish! With all the small species fishing I’ve been doing lately I can’t wait to feel the power of a nice chrome fish again. I appreciate you picking some stuff up. Every little bit helps bro

All the trash is the reason why they put new gates up to the back side of that lake, and are not letting it fill.
@AnglingAddictsPNW
@AnglingAddictsPNW 4 жыл бұрын
mm88swrt - makes sense. If that’s how people are going to treat it then it should be closed. The last thing I want is to be catching fish that have been swimming around in any of that garbage, and human waste. Pitty they aren’t letting it fill, considering how fast it has been lowering. All those fish were in that area for a reason, there’s nowhere else for them to go right now. Thanks for the input, I’ve only fished this lake a couple times now and know nothing about it besides the fact that the people that go there and trash the place should just stay home

@@AnglingAddictsPNW I spoke with osp up there and they issue hundreds of citations each weekend for littering. If you were able to bring it in, just bring it out! Heck they have a big garbage can there. Ive been going to that lake since i was pooping in my pants. Im 34 now and its sad to see what its become. I remember the spot you were fishing being around 16' deep. And water up to the trees. There isnt even crawfish in the lake anymore :(
@AnglingAddictsPNW
@AnglingAddictsPNW 4 жыл бұрын
mm88swrt - I’m glad to hear they pay enough attention and are/have been handing out citations. There’s absolutely no reason you can’t throw your garbage in a trash bag and take it with you. It’s really lame when people don’t even use garbage cans when they are provided. I’m new to this lake and have only seen it shallow like this. I could only image it being 16’ and up to the tree line. I did see a huge crawfish near the waters surface but I’m pretty sure it was dead or dying. It was the only one I’ve seen there. I was going to check it out but I was b-lining for some jumping fish. I have no faith in most people these days...
