this is not development. Angola ranks in the very last positions for human development index. These infrastructural projects are often useless. Oil renting behaviour has allowed the elite to keep everything. Angola's GDP rose exponentially in the past 10 years, while the gini index of inequality only dropped from 31 to 30. Most of Angolan people starve while hotel rooms in Luanda shoot $300 a night. this is just tragic

Angola is growing fast but I believe the biggest dam currently being constructed is the one in Ethiopia.

@@tonnyanthonys2159 none.... each region has is own language which is barely used or recognized.... but we're moving forward to add English as 2nd language unfortunately there's some old people in high places in the government that keep saying "we gotta make our mothers languages officials "

First develop big cities then medium cities lastly the country side. The rich pay taxes and provide jobs. The government can use those taxes to help the poor or employ them. The Lauca Dam is financed and constructed by Brazil..The Cabacaq Dam is financed and constructed by China.

That’s one thing I observed here. Very sad indeed. Their former president was called Eduardo Dos Santos , I thought that was an aberration but it seems it is the norm. Pathetic indeed
